AbstractAbstract
[en] Compositions Li(Ni0.33Mn0.33Co0.33)1 – xFexO2 (0 ≤ х ≤ 1) of the LiNiO2–LiMnO2–LiCoO2–LiFeO2 concentration tetrahedron have been studied. Samples were synthesized by gel combustion with starch, which afforded, for the first time, the impurity-free stable solid solution LiNi0.2Mn0.2Co0.2Fe0.4O2 with an α-NaFeO2 layered structure used as a cathode matrix of lithium-ion batteries. Electrochemical testing of homogeneous LiNi0.2Mn0.2Co0.2Fe0.4O2 and the LiNi0.3Mn0.3Co0.3Fe0.1O2 sample with the lowest iron content has been carried out. The results expand the understanding of the possibility of saturation with iron of Li(Ni,Mn,Co)O2 with an α-NaFeO2 structure and indicate the feasibility of further studying the homogeneity volume and properties of the Li(Ni,Mn,Co,Fe)O2 solid solution.

AbstractAbstract
[en] Films of supersaturated substitutional solid solutions (SSS) CdxPb1 – xS (0 < x < 0.25) with a thickness of 0.6–1.0 μm were synthesized by the chemical bath deposition method. Dependences of dislocation densities, crystallite size, and texture coefficients on the Cd content in the films were determined using the modified Williamson–Hall (MWH) analysis of X-ray diffraction patterns.

AbstractAbstract
[en] Polydiimidazopyridine was synthesized from 2,3,5,6-tetraaminopyridine and 2,5-dihydroxyterephthalic acid in polyphosphoric acid (PPA) and characterized. Polydiimidazopyridine possessed high viscosity, high thermooxidative stability, and excellent film-forming properties. The polymer was processed from a reaction solution in PPA to proton-conducting membranes featuring high proton conductivity in the temperature range of 20–200°C, being superior in this value to many known membranes.

AbstractAbstract
[en] Two new polyheteroarylenes (polydiimidazopyridines) based on 2,3,5,6-tetraaminopyridine and aromatic dicarboxylic acids were synthesized and characterized. The polymers show high viscosity properties and exceptional thermooxidative stability. Polydiimidazopyridine containing a phosphoric acid group possesses excellent film-forming properties and can be processed to proton-conducting membranes that have record high proton conductivity in the temperature range of 20–200°C after doping with orthophosphoric acid.

AbstractAbstract
[en] As it has recently been shown the domain of influence of an atom surrounded in the first coordination sphere by the atoms of one sort is described, correct to similarity, by its Voronoi-Dirichlet polyhedron (VDP). The calculation of VDPs requires only standard crystallographic data and does not require the knowledge of the electron density function; therefore, the method reported can be employed to analyze atom domains of influence in structures of arbitrary complexity. This work is devoted to studying the sizes of the domains of influence of uranium atoms in various oxidation states that are surrounded by oxygen atoms

AbstractAbstract
[en] A new complex of general formula {[Cu(dps)2(DMSO)2](ClO4)2}n has been obtained with the aim to study the effect of perchlorate anion on the structure of coordination polymer based on 4,4'-dipyridyl sulfide. It has been established by X-ray diffraction that the compound has a layered 2D polymer structure. Each copper(II) ion is in a pseudo-octahedral donor environment. Perchlorate anions are disposed in the network voids of the polymer complex.

AbstractAbstract
[en] The effect of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) on the catalysis of combustion of high energy propellants was studied. Carbon nanotubes increased the burning rate of a propellant in the presence of a catalyst to a much higher extent than carbon black. The structure and composition of quenched propellant samples were studied by scanning electron microscopy and electron probe X-ray microanalysis. In the presence of CNTs, a higher carbon frame was formed virtually over the whole combustion surface and the accumulation of the catalyst particles on it was much more pronounced than in the case of carbon black. The obtained results unambiguously indicate that CNTs are more efficient in the catalyzed propellant combustion.

AbstractAbstract
[en] The electrospray method was used for the first time to prepare polymeric capsules from bioresorbable dl-lactide and glycolide copolymer loaded with biological molecules from the cell secretome and, in particular, human interferon-α-2b (IFNα-2b). The obtained nearly spherical submicron capsules were studied by scanning electron and confocal laser microscopy. The capsules retain the structural integrity and the cytotoxic activity of IFNα-2b towards tumor cells. The electrospray method is distinguished by high adaptability and environmental safety and is suitable for manufacture of a broad range of materials with different composition and morphology promising for the targeted delivery of drugs and biological molecules.

AbstractAbstract
[en] The redox properties and antiradical activity of terpenophenols (2,6-diisobornyl-4-methylphenol and 3-isocamphyl-2-naphthol) in comparison with BHT (butylhydroxytoluene, 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol) have been studied. The terpenophenols have been shown to react more readily in electron transfer processes as compared with BHT, and they have been found to react with electrochemically generated superoxide radical anion (). The effect of the compounds on the rate of generation upon adrenaline oxidation in an alkaline medium and the ability of biopreparations based on Russian sturgeon liver and gonad homogenates to deactivate have been studied. Adrenaline oxidation inhibition and the increase in superoxide dismutation activity of the biopreparations in the presence of terpenophenols has been shown, and this fact can indicate the ability of these compounds to decrease the probability of oxidative stress enlargement. A correlation has been established between the redox properties and antioxidant activity of terpenophenols in the model system of adrenaline oxidation in the presence of the biopreparations.

AbstractAbstract
[en] The high-temperature solid-phase interaction of hydroxyapatite (HA) with magnesium, strontium, and zinc nitrates at the stage of annealing of ceramics was investigated. The phase composition and unit cell parameters of the obtained materials were studied for various metals introduced into the structure to different concentrations. The introduction of Mg led to partial decomposition of HA to tricalcium phosphate and tetracalcium phosphate, the addition of Sr caused partial formation of tetracalcium phosphate from HA, and the doping with Zn gave rise to single-phase HAs.
