AbstractAbstract
[en] It was shown that application of intensive detoxification remedies (forced diuresis, extracorporal hemoperfusion, combined transfusion-hemoperfusion) in early terms after lethal irradiation of the dogs modified the acute radiation disease via activation of bone marrow hemopoiesis and increase of the dog survival. [en] The performed analysis of 5-year experience of the information support of the works on elimination of the Chernobyl accident consequences allows concluding that qualitative improvement can take place only under the following conditions being complied: 1) the problem on the information support of works on the Chernobyl accident consequences elimination will be considered using the modern achievements of the general systems theory; 2) decision making will be realized on the basis of the systematic collected and processed information, and this point should be included in the law about the legal status of the Chernobyl zone of the radioactive pollution. [en] Synthesis and X-ray investigations of copper and oxygen intercalated polycrystalline niobium and tungsten diselenides of 2H structure were conducted for intercalated low-dimension. It was established that decrease of a and c oxygen content and the fixed level of copper intercalation was observed during formation of corresponding biintercalates

AbstractAbstract
[en] It was established that X-irradiation of rabbit limbs leads to increase of amount of fatty acids in the sarcoplastic reticulum membranes. The irradiation also resulted in decrease of fluorescence intensity of tryptophan radicals of Ca-AT phase. Extraction of free fatty acids from sarcoplasmic reticulum with albumin resulted into fluorescence recovery. It is known that Ca-AT phase - fatty acid complex, affecting fluorescence intensity, forms in result of lateral diffusion of fatty acids

[en] The changes (for 1983-90) in total toxicity and teratogenicity of bottom deposits in the Dnieper cascade and soil from some regions of the Ukraine with unequal degree of the influence of the Chernobyl NPP accident have been comparatively studied using developing embryos and larvae of grey sea urchins which are very sensitive to the unfavourable effect of radionuclides, many chemical technogenic factors. [en] The studies of nuclear fuel distribution in premises of the destroyed reactor of the Chernobyl NPP (''Shelter''), its physico-chemical, neutron physical properties and composition have confirmed the deep subcriticality of fuel-carrying mass, excluding appearance of self-supporting chain fission reaction in them. The examination of the ways for further ''Shelter'' reconstruction into permanent ecologically safe system with possible future waste disposal and final burial of nuclear fuel shows the necessity to involve home and foreign experts on competitive base to solve this problem. [en] Using Dactylis glomerata leaf segments the effects of chronic irradiation of donor plants on the average number of plantlets in tissue culture have been investigated. The two-fold decrease of the average number of plantlets per explant and 1.7-fold decrease of somatic embryo formation are observed in experimental tissue. Somatic Dactylis glomerata embryogenesis system may be useful as a suitable test-system to study the effects of chronic ionizing radiation on the plant cell and tissue culture. (author)
