AbstractAbstract
[en] The method of X-ray spectrum microanalysis was applied for measurements of coefficients of mutual diffusion in pairs of titanium-zirconium and titanium-zirconium alloys with hydrogen or deuterium within the range of bcc β-phase existance. It was shown that interstitial hydrogen and deuterium atoms promoted an increase in activation energy of substitutional atom diffusion and decreased tendency to ordering in β-Ti-β-Zr solid solution. Based on the data on mutual diffusion a thermodynamic analysis was accomplished for Ti-Zr solid solutions alloyed with H and D. Melting temperatures of zirconium hydride and deuteride were estimated and proved to be 2200 deg C and 4100 deg C respectively

[en] By the methods of light and electron microscopy grain growth during heating in rapidly quenched from liquid state iron-nickel and stainless alloys with austenitic structure was studied. After the treatment a high thermal stability of the grain structure was attained. Reasons determining the stability were discussed

AbstractAbstract
[en] Anomalies of quantum oscillations of polarizational parameters of ultrasound, propagating along magnetic field direction beyond the edge of Doppler-shifted cyclotron resonance, observed in tungsten, can be explained by the existence of a helical wave in compensated metal. The calculation of quantum oscillating additions to the rates and absorption coefficients of circularly polarized waves under interaction with the helical wave was made. Conditions of increased pronouncement of amplitudes and shift anomalies in oscillation phases are determined

[en] Structure, orientations and chemical composition of surface and internal layers of molybdenum rolled monocrystals are studied using electron microscopy, X-ray and Auger-analyses. Model of reorientation allowing to determine relation of deformation mechanism localized in surface layer with reorientation of internal layers, is described to explain the results

[en] Effect of dislocation rate dispersion resulting from strain hardening on formation conditions and character of cellular dislocation structure formed under multiple gliding is discussed. Rate dispersion is determined to promote self-arrangement and local formation of dislocation clusters in the form of cell boundaries. Effect of different structure factors, that is, energy of stacking faults, in particular, on critical deformation of cellular structure formation in different metals with fcc - lattice and in alloys is analyzed

[en] Increase of flow stress, ductility and strength in Kh17N14M3B steel with primarily low-energy grain boundaries content is detected. These effects are shown to be connected with preservation of uniform slip up to high deformation degrees. Physical causes of grain boundary type effect on slip character are discussed

[en] Limiting cases of solid solution exhaustion under irradiation are considered theoretically. Analytical dependences for distributions of point defects near precipitations and for radii of spherical precipitates as time functions are obtained. Comparison of the latters with available experimental data on kinetics of secondary phase precipitation growth under irradiation in solid solutions is carried out

AbstractAbstract
[en] X-ray diffraction, Moessbauer spectroscopy and magnetic methods were applied to investigate crystal-phase transformations in Fe2B powders under deformation during 30h and after subsequent annealing at 973 K for 1h. Powders with initial particle size of 300 μm were undergone to grinding in a planetary ball mill. At the beginning of deformation an orthorhombic phase was found to form with magnetic ordering temperature Tc equal to 915K and hyperfine magnetic field Heff equal to 23.6 T. Further grinding followed by annealing resulted in FCC phase formation of Cr23C6 type lattice with Tc=730 K and Heff=21.5 T. Late in deformation considerable amount (50%) of α-Fe was observed. A suggestion was made that powder deformation under certain conditions could lead to amorphous state of material. The studies described were carried out for the purpose of estimation of borided steel behaviour under various loads

AbstractAbstract
[en] The structure and strength properties of monocrystals with the growth axis <100> of two heat resisting nickel-base alloys after various modes of high-temperature treatment of the melt have been investigated. By the methods of electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis and metallography, the influence of temperature of the melt on structural perfection of the monocrystals, parameters of cellular-dendritic structure, morphology and dispersion of strengthening γ'-phase, degree of coherence in γ/γ' phase interface and their interrelation with long-term rupture strength of the alloys studied, has been analyzed
