AbstractAbstract
[en] Recommendations on heating and rolling of castings of 12Kh18N10T, 08Kh22N6T, 14 Kh17N2, 12Kh13, 09Kh17N, 20Kh23N18 steels which introduction allows to upgrade the quality of rolled products, are given. A technique for determining optimal heating and rolling temperatures of difficult to work steels and alloys is developed. Revolution number heating temperature curves have been plotted from torsion test results

[en] X-ray method for determination of mass and thickness of tin coating on tin plate with the use of portable X-ray fluorescence analyzer BARS-3, designated for proximate analysis of materials without sampling, has been developed and introduced at electrolytic tinning stack. The method is based on the dependence of intensity of characteristic radiation of sample base-iron (FeKα lines with 6.4 keV energy), excited by X-ray tube with molybdenum or germanium anode and absorbed by tin, on tin coating mass. The method enables to improve the uniformity of tin distribution and to optimize the coating process, as well as to reduce tin consumption

[en] Testing of pilot production process of converter steel with increased cold and corrosive resistance was carried out. Experimental meltings of 10KhSND, 0962 and 15GB steels, as compared to the production ones, have shown essential improvement of all quality characteristics. Particularly, viscosity at-40 grad. C has increased from 30-50 up to 100-150 G/cm2, while corrosion-mechanical resistance has increased by 1.5-2 times according to the environmental coefficient. This promotes essential improvement of performances of particles, designed for application in aggressive media and at lowered temperature

[en] Method of hardening steel 20 tubes including cold deformation (up to 30%) and heating at 650 deg C for 5 minutes is suggested. After such processing the tubes have σB=500 N/mm2, σ0.2=400 N/mm2, δ5 > 18%. The increased strength permits a 25% decrease of structure metal consumption

[en] Structural steels of different classes melted in laboratory and industrial conditions (high-frequency, electric arc, open-hearth furnaces) using the products of direct iron reduction (DIR): metallized pellets, sponge iron, etc. are investigated. It is shown, that the use of DIR products during charge melting ensures a high purity of metals as to regular and occasional impurities, that results in the improvement of producibility and the main qualitative characteristics, according to which the reliability and durability of products and structures produced of the steels are assessed

[en] To reduce nickel evaporation losses and improve the balance of cooling additions, technology of corrosion resistant steel melting, inparticular, 08-12Kh18N10T, providing for the removal of all metal nickel from the mixture and its addition to liquid metal after oxygen blow, is proposed. Such a technology allows one to reduce nickel losses by 0.3 %, reduce refining temperature by 40-50 deg C, increase lining stability and reduce titanium melting loss. The quality of steel produced satisfies the standard requirements

[en] Economical technology was created. It enables to decrease metal wastes in result of giving up hot-extruded billet, elevate productivity in cold-rerolling department due to reduction increase, produce tubes of finished dimensions during one draft using 83x9.0 mn billet. Cold rolling of tubes was applied. Mechanical properties of these tubes were investigated. Industrial production of 12Kh1MF steel tubes according to new technology demonstrated high accuracy of tubes. Metal saving equals 15 kg/t of finished tubes. Principle possibility of producing long tubes was shown

AbstractAbstract
[en] The role of layers-scrabs in the mechanism of secondary particle formation under grinded polydeformational aggregation (GPDA) of nickel and copper alloys in vibrational mill is revealed. It is shown that in the course of grinded polydeformational aggregation (mechanical alloying) dynamic exchange between the processed material, moving freely inside the mill volume and the material, bonded during the earlier processes on the grinded body surface takes place; and the exchange character is close to dynamic equilibrium with the rate of material receipt and shipment making up 0.5-1% of the charge mass per hour. It is shown, that accelerated layer distruction may occur in the end of the process: in this case the upper layer sections are the first to be separated and then - the deeper layer sectios

[en] Causes of ferrite-pearlite striation in boiler-tubes of 20 K steel have been studied. To eliminate ferrite-pearlite striation two accelerated cooling modes have been developed. The first mode consists in cooling from the austenite region with the rate 50-100 deg C/s to 600-650 deg C (further in the air). The second mode consists in ''pulsed'' cooling of the tube surface, the rate being not less than 200 deg C/s to 600-650 deg C, with the following cooling in the air
