AbstractAbstract
[en] Solid solutions of the PbScsub(1/2)Nbsub(1/2)Osub(3)-PbMgsub(1/3)Nbsub(2/3)Osub(3) binary system were synthesized through a solid phase reaction. Ceramics is prepared by hot pressing. Optimal conditions for the synthesis are found, a powder with a minimum quantity of undesirable pyrochlorine phase is obtained. After sintering of the powder using hot pressing one-phase ceramic samples are prepared with solely perovskite phase, having the density close to the theoretical one, zero apparent porosity and water absorption

AbstractAbstract
[en] Effect of calcium and magnesium fluoride additions on phase composition and poperties of sintered ceramics on zirconium dioxide base is investigated. It is stated that fluoride additions, stabilizing ZrO2, promote some densification of the samples during annealing with 20-30% decrease of open porosity, but mechanical strength remains not high. Necessity of limiting calcium and magnesium fluoride adding to ceramics due to formation of gaseous fluorine compounds and necessity of constructing purification structures for high fluoride addition sintering is pointed out

AbstractAbstract
[en] Using the method of X-ray computerized tomography, structural peculiarities of thermal insulation panels on the basis of quartz and kaolin fibers have been studied. Analysis of the data obtained shows, that the density of freely precipitated filter-sediment of quartz fiber is by 8-30% lower, than that of filter-sediment of kaolin fiber. Quartz-fiber material also possesses a more homogeneous structure. The presence of ceramic binder of aluminium oxide practically does not change the density of the materials. Structural peculiarities of fibrous materials have been also evaluated by analyzing the character of spreding and impregnation of a material sample with liquid polymeric binder. It is ascertained, that the use of X-ray computerized tomography permits to thorougly investigate structural peculiarities of structures of thermal insulation ceramic materials and to introduce the necessary modifications to the method of their production

AbstractAbstract
[en] Effect of Co3O4 addition in a quantity from 10 to 90% on microstructure, phase content, lattice parameter and structure of ZrO2 ceramics spallings stabilized with yttrium oxide, is studied. It is found out that in the process of ceramics synthesis the formation of three-phased heterogeneous system of matrix type occurs. At cobalt oxide content within the range of 10-30% a matrix consist of ZrO2 base solid solution, at cobalt oxide content from 50 to 90% it is a matrix base, at 40% Co3O4 the regions with both type matrixes exist. Cobalt oxide introduction decreases the sintering temperature without loss in operation indices of heat sensitive ceramics for resistance transducers

AbstractAbstract
[en] The effect of Co60 gamma radiation on luminescence properties is studied for some ceramic materials synthesized on the base of α-corundum (crystal phase) and SiO2-ZrO2-Al2O3-MgO-MnO-CaO glass phase when glass content in ceramics varies from 25 to 47% is studied. The dependence of thermoluminescence (TL) and gamma-luminescence (GL) peak intensity of irradiated saples on the relation of amorphous and crystal phases and γ absorbed dose is shown. The conclusion is made on responsibility of trapping sites and luminescence centres of the crystal phase for the observed TL and GL peaks

[en] Data are presented on the phase composition, electric conductivity, type and character of conduction, as well as on magnetic properties of CeO2 and Ta2O5 solid solutions. Ceramics with molar content of 3% Ta2O5 possessing the electron type of conduction is the most conducting one within a wide temperature range (300-1600 deg C). Such ceramics may be applied as conducting material in high-temperature power plants

[en] Dielectric properties of heterogeneous materials of the (1-x)(0.91ZrO2+0.9Y2O3)+XCo3O4 composition are investigated. Two types of relaxation centers determining the dielectric polarization of these materials at a frequency of 0.05-25 MHz in the 34O-52O K temperature range are detected. The relaxation centers in the CoO phase are related to the vacancies in the cation sublattice and are characterized by a wide scale of the relaxation time (α=O.5-0.6)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Fabrication technique is developed for electromelted zirconium dioxide base powders with application of high frequency heating in a cold crucible. Cold crucible design and manufacture method are described. Test results are given on properties of powders obtained and coatings of these powders. X-ray analysis showes that main phases in ZrO2-Al2O3-Y2O3 system powders are α-Al2O3 and ZrO2 of tetragonal modification. It is revealed during plasma are coating of strainless steel substrate that powders possess good flowability and ensure homogeneous structure, high adhesion and low porosity of coatings

AbstractAbstract
[en] Some problems in the field of production of quartz glass items are considered. Quartz glass KU-1 and KUVI is characterized by high radiation resistance under γ-radiation conditions and by high optical resistance up to 5x1010 W/cm2. Production of quartz glass is characterized by considerable energy content of material, that's why provision with progressive, highly-efficient technologies and equipment is considered to be the main trends in development of this section of the field
