[en] With the purpose of determining the contents of the metals Cd, Cu and Zn in sediments of swamp areas, they were selected 4 stations in Santa Marta's Big Marsh and one in the Bay of Chengue in the Natural National Park Tayrona. Four collections of samples of sediments were made along one year and they were analyzed by spectrum photometry of atomic absorption, the concentrations of the metals Cd, Cu and Zn. Parallelly the salinity, the pH, the potential redox and the content of organic matter in the fine fraction was measured.
