[en] Problems of NPP radioactive waste disposal in engineering constructions in deep geological formations are discussed. The following geological formations and strata: granites, clays and rock salts, are considered as the most promising ones. Salt strata, possessing properties of plasticity and water-proofness, permit constructing reliable underground repositories of low-active wastes. It is recommended that burial sites located in abandoned salt pits should be used for disposal of high-active wastes
