AbstractAbstract
[en] A compound X-ray lenses is an array of microlenses with a common axis. The resolution limited by aberration and by diffraction. Aberration can be corrected by shaping refractive surfaces for the experiment geometry. Due to the small value of refractive index the ideal shape of the surface is similar to the parabola. Diffraction limit comes from single slit theory based on absorption aperture of the compound refractive lenses. X-rays passing through lenses form Airy pattern. The size of Airy disk depends on absorption in the material of the compound X-ray lens. Results of calculation of diffraction resolution limit for X-ray lenses are discussed. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] It is shown that the treatment of the system film (titanium, 1 µm)/substrate (hard alloy T40) by high-intensity pulsed electron beam is accompanied by the formation on the hard alloy surface of the multiphase nanostructured layer with a gradient structure. Directly on the irradiated surface of the hard alloy is formed a film with thickness of (80 ... 140) nm of molten carbide composition (Ti,W)Cx, passing through an intermediate layer with a cellulate structure of triple carbide nanoparticles (Ti,W)Cx with interparticle layers of phases Co7W6 in layer of triple carbide crystallites (Ti,W)Cx globular and faceted shapes with layers of cobalt binder. Formation of nanostructured layer structure increases the micro-hardness of hard alloy surface layer more than 2.5 times. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The effect of irradiation with heavy ions Ne, Ar, and Kr of various energies on the structure and properties of ceramic barium cerate doped with neodymium and annealed in air at 650°C for 7 hours is studied. It is noted that blistering was observed on cerate surface during its irradiation by low energy Ne ions, whereas it was not observed under low-energy Ar and Kr ions irradiation. Irradiation of the cerate with high energy ions caused partial amorphization of the irradiated surface of the material, while the structure of the non-irradiated surface did not change. In addition, the irradiated surface of the cerate endured solid-phase structural changes. Thus, upon high-energy ions irradiation in the range of Ne, Ar, Kr the cerate surface resembled the stages of spherulite formation - nucleation, growth (view of cauliflower) spherulitic crust, respectively. The growth of water molecules release and reduction of molecular oxygen release from the barium cerate, irradiated by high-energy ions is found during vacuum constant rate heating. It is concluded that cerates undergo changes to the distances significantly exceeding the ion ranges in these materials. Features of high-energy ions influence on thermal desorption of carbon dioxide from cerates show, apparently, the formation of weakly bound carbonate compounds on the cerate surface in the irradiation process. AbstractAbstract
[en] The coatings investigated in this paper were deposited via the magnetron sputtering of AlN-TiB2-Ti-Si2 target in Ar atmosphere. The investigation of structural-phase composition, element composition, morphology and mechanical properties before and after annealing up to 1350°C were carried out. The concentration of elements in the coating were changed after annealing under 900°C and further annealing under 1350°C (especially after annealing under 1350°C).The hardness of as-deposited coatings was 15 GPa, but after the annealing under 1350°C the value of hardness was increased up to (22-23.5) GPa. The value of the index viscoplastic was 0,07. All this provide high damping properties of the coating, and amorphous like structure makes promising the use of these coatings as diffusion barriers in the form of independent elements, and as a contacting layer in multilayer wear resistant coatings. AbstractAbstract
[en] In this paper results of deposition molybdenum layer on glass substrate in order to investigate the surface properties of Mo back contact on glass are discussed. The Mo thin films were deposed on glass substrates by self-ion-assisted deposition method (SIAD) SIAD experiments were performed using a resonance vacuum arc ion source. Substrate plates were floated to a negative potential with respect to the source of 10 keV to accelerate the ion species. The dose of ions was 1.2×1016, 3.2×1016, 5.2×1016, 8.1×1016, 1.1×1017 cm-2. Atomic force microscopy study of samples was performed using an microscope “NT-206”. Contact angle measurements were based on the sessile-drop method. The wetting agent was distilled water. The roughness of initial glass is 2.2 nm. After the start of deposition of coating the character of the surface topography changes drastically. The roughness increases with the increase of the irradiation dose to 2.7 nm due to the difference of levels of covering and the multitude of islands of covering nucleation. With further increasing of the deposition time the area of covering increases, gradually filling the entire surface, which reduces the roughness to 2.3 nm. The wettability test results show fundamental difference between the contact angle (CA) of initial glass (25.1°) and the contact angle of experimentally modified surfaces (56.7° - 69.7°). There was observed increasing in 2.45-2.77 times in the contact angle of water when the Mo thin film is deposited on glass. The deposition of the Mo thin films on glass makes the surface less hydrophilic. The dependence of the value CA from a dose of ion irradiation is similar to the dependence of the average roughness from a dose. Obviously, three factors affect on the wettability of the surface in that case: chemical composition of the material (fact deposition of Mo-films), local inhomogeneity (% of coating formation) and surface morphology (roughness). [en] Original design of the antenna type bolometer receiver for the electromagnetic waves of mid-infrared spectral range is proposed. It is shown that the antenna implementation of an uncooled receiver of specified radiation in the form of double-threaded helix and location of the microresonance structures along the two outer sides of a thermal element in a strictly geometric pattern can achieve return loss of – -10.95 dB, the standing wave ratio - 1.79 and conversion efficiency - ~ 92%. AbstractAbstract
[en] The nuclear reactions and channeling experimental techniques were applied to investigate (study) the behavior of the deuterium (hydrogen) in the case of simultaneous damage production and inert gas impurity introduction in 18Cr10NiTi stainless steel irradiated by high energy argon ions. The damage structure was detected (observed) at a depth much greater than the calculated argon ions range. It is shown that increasing of the deuterium concentration and its accumulation in the surface layer during annealing at temperatures of 90 °C occurs due to the reverse (back) deuterium diffusion from the depths exceeding its implantation range. [en] In the paper an algorithm of kinetic Monte-Carlo method was applied to model the cluster and {311}-defect growth in ion-implanted silicon starting from initial distribution of free interstitials. Kinetic constants and parameters were taken from the literature. The simulation results were compared with those of continuous model based on the system of diffusion-reaction equations with the same kinetic constants. The results obtained with a Monte-Carlo method are in good agreement with predictions of continuous model. Advantages of the Monte-Carlo based approach are simplicity and possibility to perform calculations in short time using a small model sample to get preliminary estimations. (authors)
