Immobilization of glucose isomerase on radiation-modified gelatine gel
AbstractAbstract
[en] Whole-cell glucose isomerase immobilization on radiation-modified gelatine gel was demonstrated. The enzyme was stabilized within the cells by heat-treatment at 700C. The heat-treated cells were mixed with radiation-modified gelatine gel and cross-linked by glutaraldehyde. Immobilized enzyme exhibited 70-75% activity as compared to the free cells. Several properties of immobilized glucose isomerase were studied under various reaction conditions. A continuous isomerization was performed using a column packed with cell granules. It has been found, that the half-life of the immobilized glucose isomerase amounted to 650 h at 600C. (orig.)
