[en] To improve the diagnostic potentiality of CT for esophageal cancer, we propose a new regimen including incremental dynamic method throughout the regional lymph nodes as well as the primary lesion. This is supported by Somatom DRH, enabling 25 contiguous scans of 3-sec-scan and 3-sec-interval with 8 mm in thickness, and Medrad MARK IV with Flow Module Option. Of 9 patients with esophageal cancer 6 were estimated to have local invasion (A₃) and other 6 were involved with regional lymph node metastases (N₂-N₄). Our preliminary report suggest that such a sophisticated use of CT will provide further informations for surgery or radiotherapeutic planning. (author)
