[en] CAIRE (Computer Aided Response to Emergencies) - an emergency guidance system - combines actual radiological measurements with mathematical model calculations to obtain a diagnosis of actual radiation exposure within an endangered area. The accuracy of the assessment is nearly always better than one order of magnitude. (author)
