A note on modelling of the groundwater flow and pressure behaviour observed during excavation of the SCV drift in the Stripa project
AbstractAbstract
[en] A simple back-analysis of groundwater results related to excavation of the SCV (Site Characterization and Validation) drift in the Stripa Project has been conducted in order to assess the applicability of porous medium conceptual model to the SCV site. It has been found that a porous medium model can not explain all of the observed measurements. In particular, the predicted groundwater pressure draw down and recovery are not consistent with the behaviour observed. The authors have no simple explanation for this inconsistency.
