AbstractAbstract
[en] Muons provide a clear signature for many of the interesting processes which will be studied at the LHC. The goal of the CMS muon detector is to provide identification, track reconstruction and trigger of muons. To do this, the CMS muon system will make use of several detectors: Drift Tubes (DT), Cathode Strip Chambers (CSC) and Resistive Plate Chambers (RPC). In this paper, a short description of the main features and status of each detector is presented
