New technique for substituted ruthenocenes synthesis

[en] One reports about a new technique for the synthesis of ruthenocene asymmetric derivatives based on photochemical reaction of naphthalene ruthenium complex [CpRu(η6-C10H8)]+ (1) with cyclopentadienes and cyclopentadienide-anions. Reaction of 1 compound with cyclopentadiene surplus under visible light irradiation is accompanied by the naphthalene displacement and results in the ruthenocene Cp2Ru (2a) 73% yield. Reaction of 1 compound with C5Me5H results in the pentaruthenocene 2b 73% yield. Structure of the prepared compounds is confirmed by the NMR 1H data
