AbstractAbstract
[en] Rare earth Ternary oxides have potential applications in diverse fields such as in oxygen ion conductors, catalysts for oxidation, magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) generators and thermoelectric materials. There have been a number of studies on rare earth oxides focusing on its electronic, magnetic, catalytic and thermoelectric properties. Various types of wet chemical methods were used for the preparation of different types of nanocrystalline materials. Of which Acrylamide assisted combustion is found to be one of the suitable processes for the synthesis of different types of nanocrystalline materials. Hence, the present paper deals with the Synthesis of nanocrystalline Sr2+ doped dysprosium oxide (Dy2O3) by using Acrylamide assisted combustion process and Characterized by XRD, FTIR and TG/DTA techniques. Also, the conductivity and activation energy of the Sr2+ doped Dy2O3 sample were evaluated by analyzing the impedance data measured at different temperatures in the frequency range of 1 Hz to 1 MHz.
