[en] The study of the effect of triamterene on the movements of sodium and potassium shows: the absence of influence of triamterene on sodium movements, and the decrease of the entry of potassium in red blood cells when the solution contains triamterene. This effect of triamterene might be one of those explaining the potassium-sparing effect of this product
