AbstractAbstract

[en] The adsorption of CO and O₂ on Pd(111) has been studied using the molecular beam technique. Absolute sticking coefficients have been measured for CO adsorption. The oxidation of CO is shown to proceed via a Langmuir-Hinshelwood (LH) mechanism: no evidence for an Eley-Rideal (ER) mechanism is seen. (Auth.)
