A massive thank you to Kate Fitzmaurice for her focused approach to supporting their employees wellbeing and mental health and to the Vodafone HR team for inviting us to the their Benefits Fair and allowing us to talk with the Vodafone employees about how can they make the most of their Kara Connect benefit. It’s truly inspiring to see companies like Vodafone  prioritising workplace wellbeing and giving their teams access to meaningful mental health and wellness support. 🎉

Ten days ago, I was invited to a lovely morning show (Segðu mér) hosted by Sigurlaug Margret on Icelandic Public Radio. It was personal, and of course, it was all in Icelandic. I talked about how Kara Connect was born and work and studies—and how urgent it is for all managers to consider how intelligent but stresseded #GenZ's are at work. " 1 in 5 men don’t have a close friend to confide in. " This statistic, shared by Elliott Rae at a recent Platform55 event, hit me hard. It’s a reminder of the silent struggles men face, often carrying the invisible weight of expectations—the “Man Box " (where men are expected to be strong, successful, powerful, dominating, fearless, in control, and emotionless). I feel so fortunate to have two incredible men in my life, they embody what it means to be vulnerable, to embrace emotions, and to live authentically. They remind me it’s okay not to feel okay sometimes, and that simple truth makes all the difference. So, today on International Men’s Day, I have one request: To all the men out there, speak up, reach out, and connect. Call a friend and ask for their time and a listening ear. A small moment of connection can have an enormous impact and can help you build the habit of speaking up. If you’re unsure where to turn, know that support is available.
