Air Tech Italy Member SOFTECH wins Contract with Torino Airport SOFTECH , a leading provider of environmental monitoring systems for airports for over 30 years, has secured a contract with Turin Caselle Airport. The company specializes in a wide range of solutions, including environmental monitoring (noise, air quality, weather, indoor parameters, etc.), management of aircraft ground movements using ADS-B technology, GSE tracking, and IoT solutions. As part of this contract, Softech will deploy its SARA environmental monitoring system at Turin Caselle Airport. This advanced software solution will provide real-time noise level data, enabling efficient analysis and reporting. Additionally, the agreement includes preventive and corrective maintenance services, as well as noise office support to assist the airport in preparing reports for regulatory authorities. Aeroporti di Roma (ADR) inaugurated its new Solar Farm – the largest self-consumption photovoltaic system in a European airport, as well as one of the largest systems in the world within an airport. The Solar Farm is located along the eastern side of Runway 3 at Rome Fiumicino Airport. The new infrastructure was designed by ADR and built by Enel. It is 2.5 km long and made up of approximately 55,000 mono-crystalline silicon panels: with a capacity of 22 MWp, it will allow the airport to produce approximately more than 30 million kWh of electricity per year. We’re proud to share that Air Tech Italy Member, FibreFENCE fencing solutions by Fibre Net Group, has been selected to supply custom-made GFRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer) fencing systems for Riyadh Airports. This innovative solution, provided in collaboration with its local partner, I-TAC Group, will serve as a radio-transparent protection for several specialized ILS equipment at the airport. The Middle East—particularly Saudi Arabia—continues to be a key market for Air Tech Italy Members, driven by the Kingdom's ambitious aviation development program with other countries in the region also experiencing rapid growth in the aviation sector, especially post-COVID.
