Organizing urban space in a virtuous convergence 🌇
In the insightful article by Davide Cerbone published on nagora.org, our President and CEO Gabriella Colucci proposes a substantial change of perspective to manage the different interests of sectors such as commerce, craftsmanship, industry and tourism, in a city, Naples, where the latter is increasingly growing.
“Former industrial areas should be converted into places suitable for hosting shops and workshops. Abandoned areas could become places where artisans can network and offer themselves to tourism […] creating centers of excellence, maybe divided by sector: from footwear to tailoring, to young artists, painters, sculptors. In other countries, urban space develops in this way: old factories are transformed into exhibition centers for young artists. Even cities that are much more difficult than ours, like New Delhi, are doing the same. It is a question of organization, vision and planning”.
