🚀 Our Multiphase Pumping Systems Are Now Operating in Iraq! 🚀   🌍 Last week, we successfully started up our first three Gazelle multiphase pumping systems in Iraq!   📌 This marks an important milestone: our first deployment outside Algeria and a new opportunity for Iraq’s Oil&Gas production using multiphase technologies.   These three Gazelle systems, owned and operated by us, are now running in parallel, handling a multiphase flow of oil, gas, and water from three wells. They boost fluid pressure, ensuring smooth transportation to a new processing facility while bypassing an old separation plant that can now be decommissioned. A smarter, more efficient approach to production.   💡 Why does this matter? ✔️ Our multiphase pumping systems are now part of the Iraqi market, offering new production alternatives. ✔️ Twin Screw Pump technology, designed to handle very high gas fractions—up to 100% Gas Volume Fraction (GVF). ✔️ Flow rates of up to 660 Em³/hr (100KBBLPD).   🎉 This achievement is a testament to our team’s dedication, expertise, and innovation. 📍𝐖𝐞𝐫𝐤𝐛𝐞𝐳𝐨𝐞𝐤 𝐮𝐢𝐭 𝐁𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐥: 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐢𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐳𝐨𝐞𝐤𝐭 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬 🇪🇺🌍  Op 14 februari bracht Eurocommissaris Piotr Serafin, verantwoordelijk voor het EU-budget, samen met een delegatie van de Europese Commissie een bezoek aan Porthos. In juli wordt het meerjarig financieel kader 2027-2034 gepubliceerd, waarin wordt bepaald hoeveel budget naar onder andere klimaatbeleid gaat en hoe dit wordt verdeeld. Om een goed beeld te krijgen van de ontwikkelingen op het gebied van CCS, wilde Eurocommissaris Serafin inzicht krijgen in de impact van de Europese CEF-subsidie van 102 miljoen euro op de realisatie van het Porthos-project. Dankzij deze subsidie konden wij onze kosten en tarieven verlagen en onder andere de overdimensionering van ons systeem financieren. Hierdoor biedt het Porthos-systeem ook ruimte aan toekomstige CCS-initiatieven. Europees draagvlak en financiële steun spelen een belangrijke rol in de transitie naar een CO₂-neutrale industrie. Ook in de toekomst blijven deze onmisbaar voor andere CCS-projecten binnen de EU om de ambitieuze doelstellingen van de Industrial Carbon Management Strategie te realiseren. We zijn er trots op dat we Eurocommissaris Serafin in de praktijk hebben kunnen laten hoe het werk vordert en hopen dat zijn bezoek het begin is van meer waardevolle ontmoetingen met de Europese Commissie in de toekomst. Porthos is een joint venture van EBN, Gasunie en Havenbedrijf Rotterdam: Energie Beheer Nederland, Gasunie en Port of Rotterdam.
