CEBAT leading the modernization and sustainability of the Sicilian utility infrastructure CEBAT SpA, a leader in complex utility infrastructure, is active in Sicily with more than 25 active sites, ranging from large water mains construction to HV AC projects to enhance the 150kV and 380kV High Voltage network and the HVDC Tyrrhenian link, the landmark project that is aimed to create a new bidirectional link between Campania, Sicily and Sardinia to strengthen the grid resilience and manage the huge increase of the renewable energy production. In the Sicilian renewable space, CEBAT has just completed a 17km grid connection for a 55MW PV plant and is working on the design of the sea landings and the onshore infrastructure of Offshore Floating Wind projects having a power exceeding 1500MW. In the water sector the works are progressing for the Marsala-Mazara-Petrosino aqueduct, which will be extended by an additional 70 kilometers, ensuring the transportation of about 300 liters of water per second and addressing the water supply deficit affecting the three towns in the Trapani area and solve the problem of "saline intrusion," which is the infiltration of seawater into groundwater, caused by excessive extraction from the wells.
