Amazing experience a few days ago at the Congress of the International Commission of Optics in Cape Town with Alessia Candeo, Gianluca Valentini and Roberta Ramponi 🔭🧑🔬 It was a unique opportunity to meet students and researchers from Africa and South America, as long as from the many other countries usually present at international conferences. And a personal dream has come true: to be in the country where Nelson Mandela lived, suffered and believed in reconciliation 🇿🇦 At the Congress we presented our multimodal #hyperspectral imaging system, a very hot topic: in a separate sessions, some talented #students presented their home-made Spectral imagers. As I leave Bristol after the #Optica Industry Summit 2024, I reflect on what an incredible experience it has been. The event was both inspiring and informative, providing valuable insights into the latest trends in the quantum industry. I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to present my company, Ephos, Inc. and share our mission with such an engaged and forward-thinking audience. It was also a pleasure reconnecting with old friends and collaborators, and I'm excited about the new connections made. Looking forward to continuing the inspiring discussions that began here and exploring future opportunities. An international collaboration that involved researchers from eight different institutions reported for the first time the measurement of the time necessary to transfer the charge from an electron donor system to the adjacent carbon atom in a benzene ring and therefore the time in which the structural change of the molecule occurs. Milano Digital Week 2024, held from October 10-14, is a distributed event focused on digital innovation and the intersection of #AI and human expression. It includes 107 locations across Comune di Milano downtown, 310 speakers, and multiple thematic hubs exploring topics like Industry 4.0, #digitalhealth, and AI in media. The event serves as a platform for citizens and businesses to engage in discussions about the future of digital transformation. The central hub at Palazzo Giureconsulti offers activities and sessions designed to connect participants with cutting-edge developments in digital culture, fostering collaboration between innovators and the public.  On Saturday 12th of October, from 14:30 to 15:30, Datrix | Embrace the AI Challenge, Ospedale Pediatrico Vittore Buzzi, and CNR IFN participated to a dedicated events at Palazzo Giureconsulti where our innovative Better AI Health project has been presented to general public and key messages around healthcare data security, medical data research via federated network of hospitals, EDAH - European Data Space in Health, AI as decision support system for clinicians, why genomic analysis is crucial for rare diseases, have been presented and discussed. The event was a notable success, engaging a diverse audience that actively participated in discussions, asking insightful questions throughout. Participants especially appreciated the research efforts addressing #healthcare challenges in a well-structured, EU-coordinated approach. This demonstrated the event’s emphasis on the intersection of digital innovation with crucial sectors like healthcare, allowing attendees to delve into future-forward solutions in a collaborative setting. The thoughtful integration of healthcare topics highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary efforts in shaping digital transformation in Europe.
