As we set our sights on Phase Two of our Community Conscious Travel Campaign, we recently hosted a special luncheon where we gathered some of the brightest minds in the industry to get their insights & ideas, as we shape the path we will tread, as we work towards a more sustainable and community-focused travel landscape.

* Storytelling: It's crucial to know how to tell a compelling story.
* Authenticity: Travelers need to see & believe in authenticity. Protecting and promoting authentic experiences in destinations is paramount.
* Sustainable Choices: We discussed the importance of adopting new behaviours and explaining why they matter. Travelers will often share on their return from a trip that the highlight of the trip was very different from the reason they actually chose it.
* Supporting Locals: Encouraging governments to offer tax incentives for locals selling their properties to fellow locals or the local town hall can help maintain the economic vitality of towns and villages.
* Promoting Slow Season: The importance of promoting slow season travel correctly and the possibility of using dynamic pricing to encourage travellers to explore during less crowded times.
* Engaging Stakeholders: Together is Better - We're working on creating opportunities to encourage collaboration across the globe & shared goals.
* Redefining Luxury: Luxury is evolving to include exclusive access to the undiscovered, off-the-beaten-track gems that are far from the Instagrammed crowd 'favourites.'
* Transparency: We want to educate travellers on how a significant portion of their expenditure stays within the local community, promoting meaningful travel.
* Strong Leadership: We recognize the need for strong leadership within our organizations to drive positive change.
* Proactive Travel Advisors: Travel professionals will play a pivotal role in encouraging travellers to explore during off-peak times & highlighting the benefits. We discussed how Repeat Clients to a destination may be the best place to start with these conversations
