Based in Northern Italy for more than a century, we are the makers of the world’s most magical writing instruments. Our creations combine the finesse of a jeweller with a watchmaker’s precision. Extravagant designs, mechanical complications and remarkable collaborations make up our most individualistic pieces: with around a dozen highly drafted limited-edition series released every year. These are extraordinary pens made for exceptional writing, sold through the world’s most discerning boutiques. As tools of individual expression, pens are among the most personal accessories of all. This is the reason why we maintain the pen world’s most capable and versatile workshop. In 2018 we launched the world’s first online pen customization platform. Alongside our bespoke Atelier department, Montegrappa Configurator gives individualists and unconventional thinkers the power to design the pen of their dreams.
