MOtherhood Valorisation and Empowerment for professional development – Upskilling Pathways

Chi siamo

The MOVE-UP project intends to develop a flexible and quality upskilling pathway for unemployed mothers with low qualifications, offering the opportunity of assessing, validating, and further developing their prior learning for facilitating their participation in training and in the labor market, by enhancing the competences they gain thanks to their role of parent. The project aims foster innovation in Adult Education (AE) by supporting and enhancing the capacity of AE providers and stakeholders to contribute in equality between women and men, as well as in social inclusion, through the promotion of a different mindset towards motherhood, intended as a potential to succeed in the labor market rather than as a limitation in women’s affirmation; and to work on mothers’ empowerment and upskilling for facilitating their access to education, training and lifelong learning, putting into practice the first principle of the European Pillar of Social Rights as well as the European Skills Agenda priorities with specific reference to Action 8 - Skills for Life.

    Difficulty dealing with some situation which imply communication or public speaking, as well as struggling to self-assess competences or acquired thanks to previous formal, non-formal and informal learning experiences, were some of the comments participants' brought up during the assessment phase. To help them now during the training phase, the MOVE-UP projects also relies on the EU framework for personal, social and learning to learn competence! 🇪🇺 LifeComp: The European framework for the personal, social and learning to learn key competence 🇪🇺 Adaptation to the new world requires us to develop new skills, new know-how, new competences, which we need develop throughout our entire life. These competences are fundamental to achieve personal fulfilment and satisfaction, develop ourselves and relate to others, learn how to learn and keep being employable. #moveup #motherhood #lifecomp

    Low or lack of #digitalskills was one of the things more reported by our participants in the four countries of implementation! Did you know that the EU worked on a Digital Competence Framework for Citizens called DigComp? 💭 In such a fast-paced world, where technology advances, digital skills are more important than ever. DigComp identifies the key components of digital competence in five areas and 21 specific competences. It also describes eight proficiency levels, examples of knowledge, skills and attitudes, and use cases in education and employment contexts. #moveup #digicomp

    DigiComp, LifeComp, European Key Competences Framework and EU/OECD-INFE financial competence framework for adults: frameworks which inspired the MOVE-UP project in this next phase 🗣 After carefully defining the potential learning outcomes of the trainings, the partners worked in some training modules whichdescribe the characteristics of the training action that needs to take place in order to achieve the development of the allocated competence. The training modules include didactic scenarios, resources and often refer to more than one learning outcome. Moreover, material gathered by the partnership is meant to be used in a flexible way and be adapted for any local target group or be applied as an individual upskilling path. #moveup #framework #training

    💫 Importance of intersectionality 💫 Intersectionality is a very important in the context of (gender) equality and the MOVE-UP project. Intersectionality is a term used to describe how different factors of discrimination can affect someone’s life. Women are not a homogeneous group and their experiences are defined by the intersection of the diverse identities and roles - social and political - that they occupy in various systems of domination, in which not only gender, but also other categories such as ethnicity, nationality, class, sexual orientation, age, physical and mental abilities, etc., play an operative part. 👉 Addressing intersectionality, discrimination against mothers requires acknowledging the complex interplay of social identities and systemic inequalities they face. It involves implementing initiatives that address multiple forms of discrimination, promote inclusivity and equity, and properly address mothers from diverse backgrounds. #moveup #motherhood #intersectionality
