Pilot Day 2024 🏔️
On October 12th, we participated in #PilotDay at the stunning location in South Tyrol - Schliniger Alm (Malga Slingia).
This event brought together rescue experts, drone enthusiasts, and technology innovators to explore how unmanned aerial systems (UAS) can redefine mountain rescue operations. 🆘
As a proud partner, FlyingBasket led the "Transport" training module, where our FB3 drone showcased its capabilities in load transport for rescue missions. Throughout the day, participants got involved in:
🛡️Risk Assessment & Mitigation
✈️Simple Maneuver Flights
📦Load Delivery & Logistics
Our dual remote flights allowed trainees to see firsthand how drones can handle critical tasks in challenging environments, providing rapid and efficient support where traditional methods might fall short. With the assistance of our skilled crew Philipp Rubatscher, Jakub Stokłosa and Antoni Zbyszowski, we emphasised hands-on experience, including pre-flight procedures, load operation, and payload oscillation.
The training took place in a beautiful mountainous setting. To enhance safety, nearby tourist routes were temporarily closed, and we coordinated closely with local emergency services.
FlyingBasket's Role in Mountain Rescue 🏔️
We believe drones can play a transformative role in rescue operations, enabling faster response times and safer transport of essential supplies.
A big thank you to everyone who joined us at Pilot Day and a special mention to our partners from NOI Techpark especially Sebastian Mayrgündter and all the rescue organisations that made this event a success.
We're excited to keep pushing the boundaries of what drone technology can achieve! 🚀

🚁 Thrilled to have attended DroneTech World Meeting 2024!
It was a fantastic gathering of industry leaders, innovators, and visionaries committed to advancing drone technology for a better future. Many thanks to the organizers DroneTech World Meeting Poland, for making this event a memorable success—your efforts made it an incredible platform for knowledge-sharing and connection.
I was honored to present "Lifting Hope: The FlyingBasket FB3 Transforming Crisis Response," where I discussed how FlyingBasket’s heavy-lift drones, like the FB3, revolutionize emergency aid delivery. I shared stories of our past missions and plans. With advanced capabilities, such as precision in challenging terrains and AI-driven path planning, the FB3 represents the future of rapid, sustainable crisis response.
The chance to connect with so many of you and exchange ideas was invaluable, and I look forward to building on the opportunities we discussed. Together, let’s continue pushing the limits of what drones can achieve to make the world safer and more resilient.
Special thanks to Joanna Wieczorek, Elzbieta Mrozek, Agnieszka Gugała-Szczerbicka, and Maciej Włodarczyk for insightful and productive talks about FlyingBasket's activities in Poland.
