🚀 The first week at the Executive Programme for #Design #Leaders at Future London Academy is over. I have the desire to focus on a few significant takeaways
Have a #longterm #vision.
One topic I've frequently encountered is #pricing, especially in my work with #SaaS. Martina Presnajderova helped us clarify some important concepts for crafting a pricing strategy: how crucial it is to somewhat displease everyone (CFO, Sales, Product, CEO) in order to ultimately satisfy them all. If you want to change your product's pricing, do it with a long-term logic and after thorough testing.
Be #focused.
To perform highly without compromising your quality of life, it's essential to take rest seriously, consider how you nourish and energize your body. Focus on what you can control, not what you can't. Karen Sargent helped us pinpoint these aspects, stressing the importance of having a compelling emotional reason behind your work, rather than just a rational one.
Be #present to yourself.
There were many insights in the acting class led by Natalie Anson- Wright. It highlighted the importance of pausing before significant challenges such as client meetings, project presentations, or public speaking. Taking a moment to center oneself, finding the right energy and presence both physically and mentally.
Be #bold, be #lucid, be #unexpected.
This is what I take away from our visit to Pearlfisher HQ in London. Mike Branson captivated us with the amazing story he and his partners have created, emphasizing the importance of finding the "gem" in every brand and trusting in it. Trusting your partners, your employees, your instincts, while staying simple yet aware of the time and space we'r living.
Be #realistic!
#metrics, #KPIs, #OKR, all indispensable tools for guiding a company effectively. Tom Elvidge was very clear about this: everything is measurable, and without defining the repeatable journey of the project to establish the right KPIs, it's seriously difficult to measure your company's success.
The #body as an #enabler.
In the broadest sense, from the head to the heart, the gut, and the feet. It's through the body that you can realize your vision, not through any single part alone, but by balancing them correctly to define your leadership model. Emily Saltmer, PCC helped us become aware of this to enable these capabilities.
The relevance of #culture. Culture within an organization is one of the most critical aspects for a successful strategy. The diversity among team members, the unique characteristics that differentiate your company from another, clarity, trust, a shared vision—all of this is culture, and you cannot ignore it if you want to succeed. And given that "you know that you don't know," a fundamental rule: review, review, review. Thanks Paul Wright
#Togetherness.
This week wouldn't have been as exciting and enriching without the companions I'm sharing this wonderful journey with. Thank you to each and every one of you.
