Our core business focuses on the construction of plants and tanks on board of ships using cryogenic gas as cargo or as fuel. The production plant is located in Tuscany between the cities of Pisa and Livorno,along a navigable canal that connects the Port of Livorno to the Pisa Dock. The production area covers over 38,000 square meters of which about 9,000 square meters is covered, and is equipped with 2 docks. Gas and heat design turnkey solutions: All phases of the project, in accordance with national and INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS AND CODES (ASME, EN, IGC, IGF, etc), are under our complete responsibility and care. We execute and supervise the entire design process, from the feasibility study to the creation of the 3D model for structural verification through engineering simulation software, purchase of machinery, fabrication, installation, site surveillance and commissioning of our plants. 📢 Christening of Energy Stockholm, the largest LNG bunker vessel in Europe 🎉 The Energy Stockholm, inland LNG bunker vessel with a capacity of 8,000 m³, was christened in Rotterdam on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, by its godmother, Saheera Ahmad, Head of Business Development - Marine LNG for Shell. The vessel is owned and operated by LNG Shipping (a joint venture between Victrol and Sogestran). It will be handed over to Shell Western LNG B.V. under a long-term charter contract, for bunkering operations in the ports of Zeebrugge, Antwerp, Rotterdam, and Amsterdam (ZARA). The Energy Stockholm will increase Shell’s bunkering capacity in the ZARA region. It is capable of bunkering a wide variety of vessels, from ferries to large container ships. Its LNG cargo handling system allows it to bunker not only traditional tanks but also membrane-type tanks. The Energy Stockholm is LNG Shipping’s second inland bunker vessel chartered to Shell. The first, the LNG London, with a capacity of 3,000 m³, was launched in July 2019. David Patron, Commercial Director for Oil/Chemicals/Gas at Sogestran, explained "The Energy Stockholm is at the forefront of new technologies to optimise its energy consumption and reduce its emissions. It is equipped with energy efficient technologies such as a hybrid-electric dual-fuel propulsion system powered by pure gas and diesel generators (compatible with bio-diesel) and it is able to recover cargo boil-off gas to be burnt as fuel. The vessel is the first LNG bunker vessel for inland waterways to use batteries and shore power connection. A 500 kWh battery pack allows it to navigate under battery power for 30 minutes at a time." Axpo si prepara a fare una nuova mossa nel crescente rifornimento di GNL Axpo Group, fornisce circa il 40% del fabbisogno energetico del Paese, ma deve ancora spedire i suoi primi bunker di GNL. Tutto ciò è destinato a cambiare a partire dal terzo trimestre del prossimo anno, quando la società prenderà in consegna quella che Daniele Corti, responsabile del GNL su piccola scala di Axpo, definisce la sua “nave italiana”: una nave bunker GNL da 7.500 mc di nuova costruzione. La LNGBV è appaltata dall'italiana Gas and Heat e viene costruita dal cantiere navale San Giorgio del Porto di Genova, con finanziamenti da aziende italiane, da cui il soprannome. Axpo prepares to make a new move in the growing supply of LNG Axpo Group, supplies about 40% of the country's energy needs, but has yet to ship its first LNG bunkers. All this is set to change from the third quarter of next year, when the company will take over what Daniele Corti, Axpo’s small-scale LNG manager, calls his “Italian ship”: a newly built 7,500 mc LNG bunker.
