Gianni Lettieri, chairman and CEO of Atitech, participated in the new appointment of "Fenomeni di Economy", a "traveling" initiative (created by Economy in collaboration with Symbola - Fondazione per le qualità italiane and Centro Studi G. Tagliacarne) that travels up the peninsula from South to North, presenting for each region ten entrepreneurs who are the protagonists of an inclusive and sustainable way of making business. The meeting was hosted by Confindustria Benevento on Thursday, February 29.
In his speech, Lettieri recalled some of the sustainability actions promoted during his tenure as president of Unione Industriali of Naples: the "Quadrifoglio" project aimed at young people in the city's at-risk neighborhoods, the "Piccoli Imprenditori Crescono" project, and the "Casa di Tonia" project with Cardinal Sepe, a facility that houses single mothers.
As for Atitech, Lettieri pointed out that the company has been publishing a sustainability report for 3 years now and recalled the many initiatives implemented in this area: the installation of photovoltaic panels on the hangars, the plan to reduce consumption already by 30% with the goal of a further important reduction with the installation of additional photovoltaic panels, the replacement of company vehicles with electric vehicles, the study of the hydrogen engine and the proprietary project of converting aircraft from passenger to freighter, conducted in partnership with the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II II and Università degli Studi di Napoli 'Parthenope', and the financing of the Master in Aviation Industry (Sapienza Università di Roma), the fund of 500. 000 euros to support the studies of employees' children, the solidarity canteen that guarantees a hot meal during the holiday season to more than 100 needy families in some neighborhoods of Naples, and the transformation, in the midst of the Covid peak, of one of the hangars into a vaccine hub.
Concluding the talk, Lettieri recalled how today, for a business, there can be no growth without responsibility.
The meeting was moderated by Alfonso Ruffo (editor in charge of Economy magazine) and was attended by Oreste Vigorito (president of Confindustria Benevento), Sergio Sgambato (general manager Diligentia ETS) and sergio luciano (editor Economy).
