Empowering youth, building a green futureI'm delighted to share this video about the Youth Design Assembly, a transformative approach that promotes active youth participation in decision-making and community building. This methodology is designed to give young people a platform to voice their ideas, work together and create meaningful change.As a project manager for GreenSCENT, I have had the privilege of seeing first-hand the impact of empowering young voices. From engaging workshops to collaborative initiatives, this methodology not only builds confidence, but equips young people with the tools to lead and innovate.Although I'm no longer with Democracy X, I remain deeply proud of the work we did together and of the incredible young people who were at the heart of it. 🌿✨ This week (2-3 December 2024), I had the opportunity to participate in the 3rd Edition of the Green Digital Accessibility conference, organized by GreenSCENT Project, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and TransMedia Catalonia. It was an enriching experience to engage in an international conference dedicated to bridging the gap between accessibility and environmental sustainability. The event brought together incredible professionals and researchers in media, accessibility, technology, environmental studies and education to exchange ideas and inspire action. A special thanks to the organizing team and, especially, Sarah McDonagh, for the support from day 1. I had the opportunity to present a keynote session in Panel 4: Sustainable and Accessible Design, titled: "Green Bytes: The Importance of Crafting Eco-Friendly and Barrier-Free Experiences" This presentation allowed me to share my research on the intersection of accessible digital products and front-end development, while also exploring sustainable software engineering practices and their role in creating more inclusive and environmentally conscious web experiences. 🌐 I'm delighted to share my presentation with anyone interested in learning more. Around this time last year, I was presenting my thesis in Barcelona as part of the GreenSCENT project. It was an incredible opportunity to share my research with inspiring professionals and peers. Today, I’m proud to say that I’m continuing on this path, exploring sustainability themes in the fields of HMI and manufacturing. 🌱

The third edition of the Green Digital Accessibility conference has come to an end —two days filled with inspiring reflections, thought-provoking questions, and meaningful collaboration toward a #GreenTransition that includes everyone 🌿💻.
