XBake is a line of bakeware designed to minimize environmental impact. Made with steel from low-CO₂-emission facilities, these products are certified with ArcelorMittal's "XCarb® green steel certificate," which reflects a commitment to decarbonizing the steel industry and significantly contributes to reducing CO₂ emissions in the atmosphere. The XBake products not only feature a low CO₂ equivalent life cycle but also come with a 100% PFAS-free non-stick coating, demonstrating our tangible commitment to sustainable production. This line originated from a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) study conducted in 2022 to evaluate the environmental impact, including the carbon footprint, of a medium-sized Guardini baking pan, in compliance with international standards ISO14040, ISO14044, ISO14067, and the “Tableware and kitchenware” PCR by EPD International. The main objectives of the study were to identify areas for improvement in the product life cycle and communicate our environmental commitment to stakeholders. The key findings revealed that the steel production phase (Upstream) contributes to 53.7% of the total CO₂ equivalent emissions. To reduce this impact, we partnered with ArcelorMittal to use their XCarb® Green Steel, enabling a 42% reduction in emissions.
