🌿 We’re working on the new project Green Science Zone (Zielona Strefa Nauki)! 🌿 ✨ What makes this project unique?  The Green Science Zone is a first project in Poland, and one of the first ones in Europe, where translational research in neuroscience and environmental psychology is being applied on a bigger scale in practice. It’s about turning theory into real actions that promote sustainable urban development. 💡 Our mission?  Our team is developing recommendations for urban planners and designers of the new University of Silesia in Katowice campus, based on the latest neuroscience and environmental psychology research. Our goal is to create a space that supports health, community cohesion, and academic activity. We are developing this project in collaboration with the IMPRONTA team members including Natalia Olszewska, Ezio Lilli, Nour Tawil, Komal Chokshi, and Agata Bolesta. As we bid farewell to 2023, we are thrilled to share a recap of an incredible year at Impronta, where we've been at the forefront of designing spaces that prioritize health, wellbeing, and neurodiversity. 🏢 Notable Projects: - Collaborating with our Canadian partner, Forge Media + Design, we undertook a project for a hospital in Canada, - The groundbreaking report, 'Neurodiversity in the Office,' in partnership with Skanska and workplace, marked a milestone as the first of its kind in Central Europe. It's been an honor to contribute to the discourse on designing workplaces that embrace neurodiversity. 💡Design for Neurodiversity: - Teaming up with Flokk Polska we conducted a series of presentations in five cities in Poland, shedding light on the importance of design for neurodiverse population, - The collaboration with McKinsey & Company in Poland underscored the growing interest in this crucial aspect of architectural design. 🌐 Global Engagements: - Impronta made its mark on the international stage, participating in conferences like Healthcare Infrastructure Conference in Eastern Canada, the Silesian Science Festival in Katowice, Poland, the Intentional Spaces Summit in Washington, a consultation for the #knowledgechamber European Parliament and PLGBC Polish Green Building Council Summit in Warsaw. These platforms allowed us to exchange insights, learn, and contribute to the evolving landscape of design for wellbeing. 🌟 Recognition and Media Spotlight: - Arup office in Warsaw, designed by workplace, has been recognised as the best in the world (in a small office category) at last year's FRAME Awards competition! Impronta contributed to this project with neuroscience-based design of a restorative space, - Natalia Olszewska, co-founder of Impronta, was nominated as 'Fearless at Work' in a plebiscite of #wysokieobcasy, Gazeta Wyborcza,   - As the year concluded, Natalia Olszewska was invited for an interview at #dzieńdobrytvn, where she had the opportunity to talk about impact of architecture on nervous system and health. As we step into the new year, our commitment to pioneering innovative, human-centric designs remains unwavering.
