INCiPiT is a non-profit Consortium, currently composed of 20 partners, including the main Italian pediatric hospitals and Scientific Institute for Research, Hospitalization and Healthcare (IRCCS), various Research Units dedicated to general hospitals, as well as some research organizations and international networks coordinated by Italian bodies. We are a contact and coordination center for all national and international pediatric clinical trials involving Italian clinical sites, which are clinical excellences in the pediatric field. We are committed to promoting the growth and quality of pediatric clinical trials in Italy. We give concrete support to the planning, conduct and completion of all types of pediatric clinical trials (profit and non-profit). INCiPiT is a facilitator in the implementation of pediatric clinical trials, with the aim of promoting the exchange of knowledge between experts in the sector, offering specialized training opportunities and providing shared tools and guidelines to increase the quality and effectiveness of pediatric clinical research. The Consortium makes the interconnection between its partners its greatest strength, thanks to the sharing of values such as cooperation, ethics and excellence.

On February 4-5, 2025, Santiago de Compostela hosted the final National Hubs Forum of the conect4children project, marking the culmination of years of collaboration in advancing pediatric clinical trials across Europe. Bringing together experts, researchers, and representatives from all National Hubs, the event served as a platform to reflect on achievements, discuss key learnings, and shape the future of pediatric research networks. Sessions covered critical topics such as site standards, interoperability with North America, financial sustainability, and the transition beyond c4c. Held at the historic Hotel Palacio del Carmen, the forum also provided space for networking, culminating in a special visit to the iconic Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. As the c4c project nears completion, this event reinforced the importance of continued cooperation in pediatric research, ensuring that the progress made over the years translates into sustainable solutions for the future. The INCiPiT Team is enthusiast about the 2 days of collaboration and synergic work with the group of international experts of the c4c Project, during the Symposium which took place in Amsterdam on 13 and 14 November 2024! 🎉 The Teams had the opportunity to present posters that highlighted the work carried out over the 6 years of the conect4children Project and to celebrate the successes and lessons learned during this journey, full of challenges as well as great achievements. 👩🏫 Thanks to the contribution of Sara Abbate and the NH Team, INCiPiT also presented a poster describing how the Italian NH has implemented the Trial Feasibility process and the added value it guarantees in this fundamental phase for the success of clinical trials. Representing the Italian National Hub were the President of INCiPiT, Rocchi Francesca and Dr. Anna Arbo, delegate of the IRCCS Burlo Garofolo of Trieste, Member of the Consortium’s Board of Directors.
