On this year’s International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, we reaffirm our year-round commitment to raising #awareness and supporting projects aimed at preventing violence. Our Red Bench initiative continues to involve colleagues throughout the world. We have now installed over 30 benches across our sites as visible reminders of our collective #responsibility to stand against violence. But we don’t stop at symbols. We have hosted courses and seminars in various locations, aimed at spreading awareness and developing self-defence skills. Furthermore, we have partnered with ActionAid Italia and the All Within My Hands Foundation (Metallica) in projects that reduce gender inequality and support victims of violence and their children across Europe. Let’s stand #together in eliminating violence against women, not only on 25th November but every day of the year. #WeDoWhatIsRight #WeGoBeyond

At #COP29 in Baku, we joined the discussion on the #decarbonisation of road transport at the panel hosted by the Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security. Michele Ziosi, our Chief Public Affairs & Sustainability Officer, highlighted our strong commitment to #innovation, developing technological neutrality: a key driver for a sustainable transition. We are contributing to the progress toward low- and zero-emission mobility with a wide range of technologies powered by renewable fuels, electrification and hydrogen. Michele emphasised the critical need for collaboration and an integrated approach between industrial stakeholders and institutions to tackle climate challenges in the heavy-duty and transport sectors. He also highlighted the importance of a smart and sustainable regulatory #framework that could support and enable all available solutions to accelerate the green transition while safeguarding the industry’s competitiveness. Domenico Nucera, our President Bus and current Chairperson of the ACEA Bus and Coach Division, participated today at a roundtable entitled “Making targets a reality: how to ensure fast deployment of hydrogen refuelling stations" as part of the European Hydrogen Week taking place in Brussels. Our IDV brand has signed today a preliminary #agreement with Leonardo to supply functional parts for future contracts within the Leonardo and Rheinmetall joint venture. IDV’s participation will be 12 to 15% of the joint venture total activities for the development and production of tracked combat ground vehicles for the Esercito Italiano - Italian Army. The #collaboration will guarantee that a significant portion of core supplies for the joint venture will come from Italy, leveraging on the highly skilled workforce that we have in this country.
