Gratitude isn't always about grand gestures but can be found in the quiet corners of life, like a genuine smile or a helping hand. What are you grateful for today? Perhaps it's the warmth of a loved one, the smile on your child's face, or the energy you feel after a run. We often take the gift of life for granted, but for those facing rare and ultra-rare diseases, these "small things" become monumental reasons for gratitude. Having a supportive community and loved ones who stand by you during the most challenging times, a donor deciding to donate plasma, giving you the chance to access plasma-derived therapies. We believe that every day is a gift worth fighting for. We are dedicated to making those "small things" - the breath, the heartbeat, the smile - possible for every patient, joining forces with all our communities around the world. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Kedrion Biopharma - USA

💔It's exhausting, terrifying, and infuriating that violence against women is still a hot topic in the 21st century. We must keep fighting for eradicating it everywhere. In the pharmaceutical sector, where the workforce is predominantly female, what can a company do to provide concrete support? 🎀 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐚 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞! This means zero-tolerance against harassment, educational trainings on respect and inclusivity, and clear channels for reporting concerns. We work hard everyday for a workplace where women's voices are not only heard but valued, where their contributions are celebrated, and where their safety, well-being, dignity, and respect are just natural elements of the company culture —a place where dialogue is based on inclusivity and kindness. 📅 Today, on the 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐕𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧, Kedrion stands in solidarity with all women and pledges to a world where every woman can live free from fear #noexcuse

📣 We are proud to be a global leader in the #plasma #biopharmaceutical industry, driving innovation and transformation in #healthcare. With deep roots in Italy, our success wouldn’t be possible without the unwavering support of Italian institutions. At our Prometic Kedrion Biopharma franchise in Laval (Quebec, Canada 🇨🇦), we develop a new medicine for patients with #PlasminogenDeficiency. This plasma-derived human plasminogen is indicated for the treatment of Plasminogen Deficiency Type 1 (PLGD-1), a rare and challenging chronic disease. This treatment brings new hope to those affected by PLGD-1. Today, our management Bob Rossilli Duccio Manetti, PhD and Sophie Larabee had the honor of welcoming #Dr. Pavone, the 🇮🇹 Italian General Consul in Montreal, and Dr. Fortunato Mangiola, the Commercial Consul, to our facility. 🙌 It was a privilege to share our mission: transforming human plasma into life-saving therapies for patients with rare diseases. By fostering understanding among policymakers and institutional leaders, we aim to highlight the critical importance of these treatments. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Fortunato Mangiola and the Italian Consulate for their visit and continued collaboration. Together, we can achieve remarkable progress in rare disease treatments.

Here we ago: Plasma Protein Therapeutics Association (PPTA) Plasma Forum in Washington DC started today and we are having a blast discussing the great uniqueness of the plasma world! A heartfelt thank you goes out to Anita Brikman and the remarkable PPTA team for their dedication to driving positive change. Together, we are proud to embark on this journey, transforming the plasma industry and making a meaningful impact in the lives of those who rely on our efforts. Connecting with so many passionate individuals at this year's Forum, themed "Taking Steps Toward a Better Tomorrow," has been incredibly inspiring so far. Because at the end of the day, we recognize that it’s about more than just treatments, right? It's about building a community of support that patients can count on, a community bonded by a common path. Duccio Manetti, PhD Bob Rossilli

We had a great time hosting Silvia Vernotico and Giulia Giori from Farmaceutica Younger at our Bolognana plant! They got a behind-the-scenes look at our operations and participated in a panel discussion with local politicians, KOLs, and patient and donor associations. We're so grateful for their partnership and for their commitment to bringing new ideas and young voices to the pharmaceutical industry. This is something that is very important to us at Kedrion, and we're excited to continue working together to make a difference.
Buona visione 🍿

The voice of plasma-derived medicines needs to be heard. Kedrion is actively working with our trade association, Plasma Protein Therapeutics Association (PPTA) to ensure access to therapies through a well-functioning ecosystem that includes plasma collection and fractionation. Our industry’s uniqueness enables millions of patients to receive treatment and lead normal lives. Yesterday, PPTA President Anita Brikman and our Chief Communications Officer, Duccio Manetti, PhD met in New York to discuss the future of the industry and ongoing initiatives with policymakers and key stakeholders. “Kedrion is grateful to PPTA and Anita for the renewed energy and commitment our trade association brings to the industry. Only through their support can we ensure all players continue to operate in a sustainable, patient-centered way“ - Duccio Manetti

"At Kedrion we recognize that living with a Primary Immunodeficiency is not just a medical condition; it's a journey that profoundly impacts lives, families, and loved ones. We are honored to be a part of the journey. Only by working together we can effectively address the unmet needs of PID patients.” Ugo Di Francesco, CEO at Kedrion Biopharma. It was a privilege to open with these words the 𝙄𝙋𝙊𝙋𝙄 𝙋𝙄𝘿 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙨, a prestigious ceremony organized during the XVIII IPOPI Global Patients Meeting and supported by Kedrion with an unconditional grant. It was an occasion to honor and meet patients and patients’ association representatives who fight everyday to increase awareness, support research, and advocate for policies that will benefit the PID patient community. The Global Patients Meeting was held in Marseille on the same days of the ESID 2024. October 14, 2024, was a significant day for Kedrion! We gathered key players from the plasma-derived medicines ecosystem at our plasma fractionation plant in Italy, including politicians, institutional bodies, and associations. Once again, we thank all the individuals who joined us at our recent event at the Bolognana plant, including the President of the Tuscany Region Eugenio Giani, the Director of the Italian National Blood Center Vincenzo De Angelis, the President of AVIS Nazionale Gianpietro Briola, members of FRATRES, AIP, and EUPATI, and many other institutional and political representatives. Your presence was invaluable, and we are honored to have had the opportunity to share our mission with you. To everyone in our LinkedIn network who was not there, we hope you enjoy the spirit of unity and progress reflected in the attached video 😊. The healthcare system succeeds ONLY when we all come together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.

🩺 Do you know what it feels like always to be labelled as the ‘sick one’? This is how Diane Motes, a registered nurse and Primary Immunodeficiency (PID) patient, described her life before being diagnosed in 2019. After years of battling unexplained illnesses, Diane finally found answers and now uses her experience to raise awareness about the importance of early diagnosis for PID patients. At the #ESID2024 Meeting in Marseilles, we are proud to share Diane’s powerful story, highlighting our commitment to supporting patients with rare diseases. Her journey highlights why raising awareness of Primary immunodeficiency warning signs can make all the difference. 💙 Find out more about Diane’s inspiring journey at https://lnkd.in/ex8ncEF4 #WeAreKedrion #ESID2024 #PrimaryImmunodeficiency #DiseaseAwareness
