As you may already know, we’ve being giving our plants around the world a wonderful splash of color and celebrating our culture of continuous innovation. Our unique #SocialArt project is also a great way of demonstrating our connection to local communities.   One of the latest works is in Duncan, South Carolina, at Advanced Ceramic Coatings (ACC) - a joint venture between GE Aviation and #Lincotek - where artist Etnik has created an installation featuring 120 images. The entrance, offices and storage areas of the site have been transformed by some truly magical creative expression.   If you take a look at the 50m² artwork, you’ll see it explores the links between technology, labor and territory, merging graphic symbols with references to the manufacturing and natural context of South Carolina.   Once again, #Lincotekers have been involved in the #SocialArt process – embracing another important company principle: the spirit of collaboration. #SocialArt comes to the USA, thanks to artist Etnik! With inspiration from #Lincotekers at our Hickory, North Carolina plant, the renowned Italian artist has transformed the site’s main entrance with a unique, site-specific work intended to infuse artistic, social, and cultural value into industrial architecture. Four large panels (each measuring 80 x 120 cm) have been mounted on iron structures at various angles, creating a dynamic visual effect. The images, painted with acrylics and brushes on phenolic wood, embody a synthesis of the relationship between a working community and the region it calls home. Mechanical elements, symbolic of Lincotek’s production, blend harmoniously with local natural elements, alongside key values—diversity, integrity, culture, respect, teamwork, and technology—contributed by Lincotekers, whose sense of community and commitment to work is strong. This is part of a global series of artworks, which were launched as part of our 50th anniversary celebrations. The initiative celebrates #Lincotek Group’s culture of cooperation, innovation, and creativity, as well as our close connections with the local communities where we operate.
