First Intermodal Train from Trieste to Rotterdam Successfully Departed! 🎉 On December 3rd, LTE Italia achieved an important milestone: the first intermodal train on the Trieste-Rotterdam route successfully departed, marking a significant accomplishment for the LTE Group, completed in just one month of preparation. 👏 This service is particularly exciting and innovative: ✅ Fresh products transport for our customer Alpe Adria, using VTG wagons equipped with power boxes that convert the wagon’s motion into electricity for reefer containers. ✅ The journey starts with goods arriving by sea via DFDS's weekly Damietta-Trieste connection, continuing by rail to Rotterdam and further by truck to England and Northern Europe. ✅ In just 4-6 days, fresh products reach end markets, ready for retail. This achievement was only possible thanks to: 🎯 Alpe Adria for their trust in us. 🎯 Our Holding, for sourcing an interoperable locomotive to cover the route end-to-end in record time. 🎯 LTE Netherlands and LTE Austria for handling traction across Holland, Germany, and Austria. 🎯 And last but not least, the dedicated LTE Italia team, whose hard work made this possible.
