On Tuesday the 19th November 2024 the AIMS project is hosting a Special Session at the #RENEW2024 conference, entitled "Numerical methods to enhance resource assessment", where we'll also launch our latest open-access #metocean datasets, including #satellites, #buoys in a gridded layout, and two reanalysis models (#SWAN and #WW3). The project is coordinate by the MOREnergy Lab of Politecnico di Torino, and partners include Dipartimento di Ingegneria Civile, Informatica e delle Tecnologie Aeronautiche and CNR-ISMAR Institute of Marine Sciences. his is a PNRR-PRIN 2022 project, funded by the European Union – NextGeneration EU – Ministry of University and Research.

🌬WIMBY - Wind in My Backyard - Workshops in #Pantelleria 🌱 The MOREnergy Lab of Politecnico di Torino, in collaboration with Deep Blue and Universität für Bodenkultur Wien , is excited to announce the success of the recent Wimby - Wind In My BackYard workshops held in Pantelleria from September 16th to 20th. With over 100 participants from Scauri, Tracino, and Pantelleria Centro, the workshops included: - Virtual Reality (VR) simulations to explore turbine placements, - Mental Map activities facilitated by Utrecht University to gather community insights, - MUSA survey conducted by PSI Paul Scherrer Institut on the acceptance of renewable technologies, - introduction of a cutting-edge WebGIS tool for optimizing wind turbine deployment. The enthusiastic participation from the community reflects the growing interest in local, sustainable energy solutions.
