The EU PRIMA MountainHER project is taking place in the mountain farming communities of Italy, Algeria, Croatia, Lebanon, Morocco and Tunisia, with the aim of strengthening their potential by paying particular attention to the role of women and their associations as advocates of agroecological transformation. Actions range from experimentation in sustainable agriculture, to the local food production up to the enhancement and promotion of products, with particular attention also to strengthening the role of women in associations. When you cultivate barley, on mountains and with agroecological techniques, the best thing you can do is learning how to make your own special malt and malt extract, to be used for beer, but also for bakery products and a lot of other food products. A great opportunity to enrich production with nutritional positivity. This is why this morning a complete MountainHER malt production interactive training took place, with Lorenzo Marini from Azienda Agraria Sperimentale Stuard, Open Fields srl, and Cooperativa Corte di Rigoso.
