Chi siamo
NatPower is an independent company founded in 2019 by Fabrizio Zago, a seasoned manager in the global green industry. The company is an independent developer of infrastructural projects for renewable energy generation, providing support to enterprises, utilities and investors globally. NatPower, boasting one of the largest green project pipelines in the world—totalling more than 23 GW— drives the energy transition process across all major technologies including solar, wind, battery energy storage and hydrogen. In just a few years, NatPower has secured its standing as one of the most prominent independent developers, actively operating in 7 different countries: Italy, UK, Kazakhstan, US, Canada, Tunisia and Chile. In 2024 NatPower launced NatPower H, a company part of the NatPower group, which is the first global developer of innovative technologies for hydrogen production, storage and refuelling in the pleasure boating industry. NatPower H is developing and will operate the world’s first global, large-scale network of hydrogen refuelling stations for pleasure boating. The refuelling station is designed by the architectural firm, Zaha Hadid Architects. The project, which involves an initial investment of 100 million euros, will support the boating industry’s energy transition by developing a far-reaching and widespread network of hydrogen refuelling stations in major ports and marinas throughout the world. To date, the project already has a pipeline of more than 30 marinas in Italy and the Mediterranean and aims to install at least 100 refuelling stations by 2030. NatPower operates from 3 offices in Milan (Italy), London (UK) and Washington d.c. (US), with a workforce of more than 70 employees across three continents.

The debate about the future of energy is more urgent than ever, driven by a growing awareness of the link between the climate crisis and energy production. The choice between fossil fuels, renewables and nuclear power is not just a technical one, but involves economic, social and environmental aspects on a global scale. Renewable energies such as wind, solar and hydropower offer a sustainable long-term solution, but require significant investment and face intermittency and infrastructure problems. But where are we today in the energy transition on a global scale? As Angelica De Vito and Luciano Canova report, effectively tackling the climate crisis requires a balanced approach that takes into account both short-term benefits and long-term goals. Investment in research and development, incentive policies and widespread environmental education are essential. 🌍 The latest episode of our podcast is out! Is water an unlimited resource? One of the most dangerous misconceptions about water is that it is a free and infinite resource. This myth leads people to take water for granted and to overuse it without considering the environmental consequences. This attitude is also reflected in the policies of many countries, leading to mismanagement of water resources. The reality is that water is a finite resource that is becoming increasingly scarce due to climate change, population growth and urbanisation. 🌍 The latest episode of our podcast is out! It may sound like something out of a science fiction novel, but experimenting with artificial rain to reduce air pollution is one of the latest initiatives taken by the Indian authorities to tackle this environmental emergency. The technique involves releasing chemicals into the atmosphere to create clouds and encourage precipitation, with the aim of cleaning the air of pollutants. Without action to reduce emissions at source, air pollution is bound to persist in India and the rest of the world. In the new episode - AIR - of MISSIONE TERRA, Angelica De Vito and Luciano Canova take an in-depth look at the solutions that have been proposed around the world to combat air pollution, ranging from legislative measures to futuristic technologies. 🌍 The episode, like the whole series, was made with NatPower Group in collaboration with NatPower UK, reflecting our shared commitment to making a real impact on communities and nature. Chile became the first country in the world to recognise and punish ecocide as a crime by incorporating the definition into its national penal code. Furthermore, if accepted by the International Criminal Court (ICC), the definition of ecocide could become the fifth crime recognised by the ICC, alongside crimes against humanity, war crimes, crimes of aggression and genocide. This change would impose new legal responsibilities on company directors, heads of funding agencies and insurance companies involved in environmentally damaging activities. To find out more, in the new episode of MISSIONE TERRA, Angelica De Vito and Luciano Canova explore the issue and explain what soil degradation is, why it can be extremely dangerous for people and what solutions are available, including in Italy, in some areas such as Terra dei Fuochi in Campania. 🌍 The episode, like the whole series, was made with NatPower Group in collaboration with NatPower UK, reflecting our shared commitment to making a real impact on communities and nature.
