Beyond the technical sessions, we had the opportunity to explore the Natural History Museum of #Metković and the stunning #Neretva River Delta, a crucial area for biodiversity and climate resilience. Naxta’s take on the ETC 2024 Report 🌐 📒 In January, the report on Italy’s participation in European Territorial Cooperation (ETC) programmes for the year 2024 was released. The 50-page document summarizes Italy’s involvement within the #ETC, #NEXT and #IPA III 2021-27 programmes in the past year, offering several interesting insights. We analysed them through key figures, hoping to offer further inputs to reflect on for all those who - like us - work toward #European integration and social cohesion. ✅ 769 > projects approved across all Interreg programmes as of June 30th 2024 ✅ 50 > number of partners from Emilia-Romagna Region involved in project funded by ETC programmes in which Italy is eligible; our region is the fourth in Italy after Friuli-Venezia Giulia (66), Piedmont (64) and Veneto (52) ✅ 86% > participation rate of Italian partners in ETC-funded projects: as of 31st December 2023, Italian partners are present in 265 out of 309 projects funded by programmes in which Italy is eligible ✅ 34% (182,570,354.64 euros) > ETC resources allocated to Policy Objective (PO) 2 - A greener, low-carbon transitioning towards a net zero carbon economy and resilient Europe (allocated as of 31 December 2023 ✅ 21% (110,473,095.76 euros) > ETC resources allocated to PO 1 - A more competitive and smarter Europe (allocated as of 31 December 2023) ✅ 3% (14,295,309.00 euros) > ETC resources allocated to PO 5 - A Europe closer to citizens (allocated to 31 December 2023) In general, it should also be noted that: 1️⃣ #Italian partners prioritise PO 2 - Resilient Europe and PO 4 - Social Europe; 2️⃣ the review of the Action Plans of two macro-regional strategies in which Italy is involved is underway, namely #EUSALP and #EUSAIR, the latter 10 years after the first Action Plan and with the aim of giving greater emphasis to supporting the enlargement process; 3️⃣ the consultation for the post-2027 programming period is ongoing, a key element for future prospects. There are many other topics and themes to discuss, but we will stop here. We hope we gave you some new food for thought, in a full spirit of cooperation. 🔬 TeBiCE Forum: Advancing Circular Bioeconomy 🌍 We are in #Munich with Anna De Marco and Lorenzo Furlan of Veneto Agricoltura for the TeBiCe Forum, a day full of inspiration and innovation dedicated to the circular bioeconomy! The event highlighted innovative approaches in biomass utilization, industrial bioeconomy developments, and the role of bio-based materials in fostering sustainability. 🔑 Key discussions covered cutting-edge solutions such as hemp as a natural biorefinery, bio-based chemical value chains, and novel materials derived from agricultural byproducts. The interactive World Café provided a platform for dynamic exchange, strengthening collaboration across sectors.
