Exciting scientific paper in ALS Research! The team of CENTRO CLINICO NeMO Fondazione Serena Onlus, the team of NLAB Research Center and the team of Omitech Srl has published a scientific paper exploring the potential of robotic technology integrated with Vivaldi artificial intelligence for functional assessment in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). This innovative approach aims to implement the monitoring of ALS by providing a more objective and accurate evaluation of patients' functional abilities. By combining the precision of robotics with the power of AI, we believe we can significantly improve the quality of care for individuals living with this debilitating disease. The #EmpowerTech project, a collaborative effort between NLAB Research Center and UILDM Direzione Nazionale Milan, is underway. This project aims to explore the potential of various technologies in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with #DuchenneMuscularDystrophy. Ten participants and their caregivers are engaged in a series of trials designed to assess the usability and efficacy of these technologies within domestic settings. By simulating the implementation of home automation systems, the project seeks to demonstrate how #voice-activated controls can provide individuals with limited mobility greater independence and control over their living spaces. The project aligns with the broader goal of developing assistive technologies that can address the challenges posed by progressive #NeuromuscularDisorders.
