‘The unmistakable result of Legacy, Art and Passion through creativity’. Orsoni Venezia 1888 is the last historical furnace in Venice that produces 24K gold leaf mosaics, colored gold and smalti veneziani for art, architecture and design using the same artisanal mastery since 1888. Combining craftsmanship, cultural heritage and innovation, the Company seeks to convey emotions through its uniqueness and attention to detail, all firmly rooted in its passion for excellence. The ‘Color Library’ is the soul of the furnace: a timeless place that preserves more than 3,500 smalti of different tones and shades. The magical place where Angelo Orsoni’s famous multicolored panel was born. Displayed for the first time at the Paris Universal Exhibition in 1889, years later this piece of art inspired world-famous Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí to use Orsoni Venezia 1888 mosaics for the construction of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, Spain. Since its beginning the company has manufactured mosaics for the renovation of Venice's St. Mark’s Basilica and is still to this day the only furnace that can produce the “Oro San Marco” for the restoration. Orsoni Venezia 1888 is also boasts several iconic buildings and projects worldwide such as: Trocadero and Le Sacre-Coeur in Paris, Saint Paul Cathedral in London, Rudolf Nureyev’s Tomb and many other mosaic masterpieces of Arabic and Oriental architecture. In 2003 Orsoni was incorporated into TREND Group, Italian multinational company that specializes in the manufacturing of glass mosaics and engineered stone surfaces for interior and exterior decoration.

#RandomActs, the wall created with #Orsonimosaic during Dubai Design Week came to life thanks to the creativity of hundreds of people. A contributive artwork that allowed the public to experience the charm of mosaic through an engaging activity, transforming creativity into an urban masterpiece made by the people, for the city. Special thanks to JT+Partners and our colleagues at TREND Group for their outstanding creative and organizational work, making this dream a reality!
Signing off from a wonderful Dubai Design Week What started as Joe Tabet’s vision at JT+Partners of using art to bring people together became a reality, with the incredible support of TREND Group’s Orsoni Venezia 1888 to create a stunning interactive mosaic wall. It was truly inspiring to see 1,740 people add their tiles, each contributing a unique story of creativity and passion, creating a beautiful symbol of unity through art. November will be filled with art-related events, featuring two exhibitions in Venice in collaboration with three talented artists, as well as the Dubai Design Week from November 5 to 10. We are excited to present ‘Random Acts’, a contributive art experience created in collaboration with architect Joe Tabet and Orsoni Venezia 1888, where visitors will create a wall that breaks down barriers. With a length of 5 meters and a height of 2.1 meters, the ‘Random Acts’ installation showcases the fusion of art and sustainability, using Venetian smalti mosaics and eco-friendly tiles. Visitors to #DubaiDesignWeek will have the opportunity to contribute to the artwork by placing #Orsoni mosaic tiles, fostering a unique and creative final piece. A screen near the artwork will display the craftsmanship that has been carried out daily since 1888 at the historic Orsoni furnace in Venice and will share JT+Partners’s vision, highlighting our shared commitment to sustainable practices. We are pleased to have hosted 10 young creatives from SIKKA Emirates during the first edition of the 'Emirates Creatives in Venice Program' to explore the art of mosaic. The cultural activities promoted by Orsoni Art & Culture aim to open the doors of the furnace, a place of exceptional craftsmanship, to creatives, artists, and researchers, creating a hub for the exchange of ideas and passing on the art of mosaic to new generations with a multidisciplinary approach. Inaugura oggi al pubblico la mostra 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶 𝗮𝗹𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲. 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗲 𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗮 𝘃𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗲𝗺𝗲, che termina un anno di collaborazione tra 6 artisti selezionati da Istituzione Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa e cinque aziende coinvolte da Confindustria Venezia per creare sinergie tra due mondi che spesso non hanno occasioni di collaborare assieme. Luisa Eugeni e Paolo Pretolani sono gli artisti che hanno collaborato con #OrsoniVenezia1888, sviluppando due progetti indipendenti con prospettive originali, partendo dall’analisi e dal dialogo con il team Orsoni.
