R.C.N. SOLUTIONS: 2024, an upward trend The end of the year is approaching and it is time to sum up! 2024 has been a turning point for RCN SOLUTIONS. An year of great technical evolution which resulted in the issue of special machines. Let’s proceed by step! 2024 opens with delivery and installation of one ROTARY BENDING SYSTEM - a self-excluding twin-axled machine, equipped with four working positions, controlled movement and size of 4000x5500xH2000 millimeters - to Viraver Technology, one of the most important companies in the nautical industry. This system, fully made in Italy, represents the first technical jump the company has planned. This machine received a great attention and gave visibility to the company showing its now time to grow. The second focus is the huge success of RD CLEAN CONCEPT, the patented system for clean edges in lamination that remains high. Along the year, orders have followed one another challenging production since the most part of the construction of this product is still manual. 2024 has been the year of Glasstec show and what better time than this event to show novelties. As a matter of fact, laminating machine named LIA – laminating integrated automation – has been displayed in semi-automatic version drawing the attention of visitors prepared to invest in novelties. If we take a look at the numbers of the machines sold this year, we notice how the market demand has changed and is changing. Lamination is still at the top of the list with 30 machines sold together with 2.000.000sqm of REVA BF. Second, the bending machines with 10 units. Bending has been the big reveal of 2024, after some years of low demand. Third, but not less important, chemical tempering with 5 machines. This makes us think our ISF – Integral Sequencing Framework - for the production of safety glass, we have been proposing for five year, is being structured. Enquiries for special products responding to high safety standard are more and more required and glaziers are looking for specialized companies who can supply new technologies and we are here to serve. All the above has been possible thanks to the new generation that joined the company two years ago, having new skill and more familiar with digital systems, this young team is ready to take the burden of sailing the company from a craft firm to an industrial one, without neglecting one of the main features of RCN: to be a family company. GLASS: A NEVER ENDING STORY If we want to explain the features of glass, we find a long list: it is clear, compact, has uniform homogeneity, full chemical and biological inertia, resistant to liquids, gas, vapors and micro-organisms, lasting stability, can be subject to sterilization process, and many others. In spite of these interesting features, why do we love glass? We like it for its brilliance: it transmits a sense of cleanliness, it is pleasant to touch, it is artistic and elegant, it opens the view on the world and can be recycled without limits, essential matter in the choice of materials. Glass shattering is not a pleasant noise. And yes, glass breaks, even if there are effective hardening systems, but glass melts and come to life endlessly. Glass is active part of our future in a world more and more eco-friendly. SHORT CONSIDERATIONS ON CHEMICAL TEMPERING We cannot end this business year without a quick focus on chemical tempering. Niche products are often related to a specific section of the industry. However, some changes are in progress and glass chemically tempered, previously required just in few applications, as for lenses, is receiving new attention from glaziers looking for production of special products. The motto seems to be: to diversify production to stand out. That’s why chemical tempering is becoming an important element in several projects, because allows the production of products with added value. Since quality is an essential matter, a reliable kiln and quality potassium salts are fundamental for results on special jobs. A lot of company have addressed to RCN along this year to start considering a chemical tempering plant in their production, in the short future. Rotary Bending System: one of RCN’s novelties. RCN cannot end 2024 without proposing one of our big novelty again: rotary bending system. Installed at Viraver Technology, Italy, one of the major reference point for curved safety products. The RCN’s rotary bending system is a self-excluding twin-axled machine, equipped with four working positions, controlled movement, active size of 4000x5500xH2000 millimeters. It is the result of the job of the new RCN’s technical team that issued this system in six months, an effort against time. The machine is in full production for special curves that can be performed thanks to Viraver’s experience in bending, job for which this company shows great skill and from which RCN has learnt a lot. #rcnsolutions #thinkingclearer #bending

From customized projects to facilities in logistic, Davide keeps his promise for reducing the operator’s job during lamination, applying new technologies and with the help of the new company’s generation, whose project manager, Thomas Pollari, is a part of. 2024 has been a successful year for RCN with many different projects and the rising demand for bending kilns. 2025 will be the year of laminating machines, in different sizes and technical combinations.  And we would add, the year of chemical tempering.
