The made-in-Italy luxury footwear brand was established in the 1951 and is deeply rooted in the creativity and expertise of its eponymous founder, who viewed shoemaking as a continuous reflection on shape, harmony and elegance. In 2016, under the guide of a new management team, Sergio Rossi makes a fresh start seeking to return to its DNA by embracing quality, craftsmanship and authenticity. The launch of the sr1 collection, was the first step of a new beginning for the Company, took inspiration from the Sergio Rossi historical archive. It was first presented in Milan for the Spring Summer 2017 Collection, with the focus shifting from evening to daywear. The product is timeless and embodies the elegance, needs and passions of a dynamic, sophisticated woman that doesn’t take herself too seriously. Following the success of sr1, launches a new must exploring the intriguing, polished appeal of 2000s’ in the archive and presents srTwenty. The design for the modern woman, who is not afraid to show her innate sensuality, merge together with the iconic Godiva pump, which became a global bestseller worldwide. The company will continue fostering the craftsmanship culture at the facility in San Mauro Pascoli, where 120 craft professionals pass on their expertise through the generations. Sergio Rossi is 100% controlled by Lanvin Group, the global luxury fashion group whose Chairman is Joann Cheng. Today counts 460 employees, based in Milan HQ, in San Mauro Pascoli Factory Plant and in the directly owned stores. Regional offices are established in China (Shanghai and Hong Kong) and Japan (Tokyo) alongside the Retail direct network in those countries. Italian luxury footwear brand, Sergio Rossi, is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Andrew as Creative Director, effective July 23, 2024. A leading voice in the new generation of design talent, Paul Andrew cultivated his aesthetic and technical expertise alongside Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Narciso Rodriguez, and the late Alexander McQueen. Andrew launched his eponymous collection of women’s footwear in 2013, soon thereafter extended the line to include men’s footwear, and in 2014 became the first shoe designer and the youngest brand to win the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. In 2016, Salvatore Ferragamo appointed Andrew Design Director for women’s shoes, and one year later promoted him to Women’s Creative Director and then to Creative Director of all product categories in 2019, the first individual to hold such a title since Salvatore Ferragamo himself helmed the brand. Andrew’s work is at once daring and pragmatic, balancing handmade craftsmanship with the latest material and technological innovations.
