Our co-founder, Nicola Frascella, had the honor of pitching our groundbreaking bladeless turbocharger during the final session of this start-up competition. He explained how with our patented technology, we are set to revolutionize the efficiency of refrigeration cycles, aiming for a remarkable 25% reduction in energy consumption. I sistemi di raffreddamento attuali assorbono circa il 20% dell'elettricità globale prodotta. I due co-fondatori, hanno brevettato una turbomacchina composta internamente da una turbina senza pale e esternamente da una qualsiasi tipologia di compressore. Tale turbocompressore brevettato può essere utilizzato nei cicli di refrigerazione (sia nei sistemi di raffreddamento che nelle pompe di calore) per espandere il fluido nella parte della turbina invece di regolarlo attraverso una valvola di laminazione. In questo modo, l'energia assorbita dalla turbina può aumentare la capacità di raffreddamento e allo stesso tempo diminuire significativamente l'assorbimento di elettricità dalla rete. Tale componente brevettato si presta anche ad applicazioni spaziali come turbopompa

📢 Today, we submitted a project proposal with 10 other partners to the Horizon Europe Call EIC Pathfinder Open (HORIZON-EIC-2024-PATHFINDEROPEN-01). EIC Pathfinder Open aims to support projects in realizing their ambitious vision for radically new technology with potential to address global challenges. Our project, Heat4Ukraine, seeks to develop a novel heat pump technology that will steadfastly gude Europe’s route to climate neutrality by enabling the switch from fossil fuels to clean energy. Our technology is aimed especially at being used for rebuilding Ukrainian public and domestic infrastructure. We are proposing a budget of just over 2 million euros to realize our technology.
