Moi! 👋 Today we introduce the last pilot region for the #SMARTERAeu project: the Northern Ostrobothnia, situated in the northern reaches of Finland. 🏔🦌 With a population density of just 11.3 people per square kilometre, the region is marked by vast untouched wilderness. Despite this, it is one of the few areas in Finland experiencing steady population growth, driven by a strong economy and a high quality of life. Also the #SMARTERAeu project was showcased during the Cluster Event titled "Digitalisation for Farmers and Rural Communities," organized by the European Research Executive Agency (REA). 🌍💚 This event provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen relationships with other EU projects focused on driving the #digitaltransformation of rural communities across Europe.
✨On Tuesday, 5 November 2024, Ari Lomis, project manager at our coordinator, the Agricultural University of Athens, presented the FUTURAL Project at the "Digitalisation for Farmers and Rural Communities" Cluster Meeting in Brussels. 🔬Organised by the European Research Executive Agency (REA), this DG AGRI event gathered representatives from 17 EU-funded projects to discuss digitalisation’s impact on rural Europe. 🇪🇺 🧑💻Ari highlighted FUTURAL’s goals, digital Smart Solutions, and contributions to the digital transformation of 🧑🌾 rural communities 🤝🏻In collaboration with sister projects SMART ERA and RURACTIVE, FUTURAL also developed and shared key policy and research recommendations. 💛Many thanks to Ari for leading this impactful initiative!💙 #HorizonEurope #ResearchImpactEU #resilientcommunities #Innovation #sustainability #REA
