What are the best design choices for a new project? What types of soles and uppers work best for a given concept? These were some of the questions addressed during the Industry Driven Day at ARSUTORIA SCHOOL, an event dedicated to educating and inspiring future players in the footwear industry. On this occasion, Pierpaolo Sgattoni General Manager of Sneaknit, gave a talk on the revolution brought by knit technologies in the design and production of shoes, bags and accessories. The discussion then highlighted the themes of sustainability, comfort and production innovation, central elements of Sneaknit's vision. Pierpaolo then explained how Sneaknit is capable to develop designs in a very short time, combining innovative materials with both traditional and cutting-edge production techniques. This makes it possible to create products that not only meet design requirements but also align with emerging market values, such as sustainability and efficiency. The partnership with Arsutoria School has been very important for us at Sneaknit, and we are proud to collaborate with a reality that has been training talents for the footwear industry for years. #sustainability #productivity #arsutoria #motivation #job #future #recycle #team

How to make the best design choices? Which types of soles and uppers work best with my concept? 👟 These were some of the key questions explored today during our Industry Driven Day at Arsutoria School. Soles are an essential component in the aesthetics and performance of a shoe. For this reason, in the morning, we welcomed Trond Sönnergren, Director of Product & Innovation and Eleonora Aquili, Senior Designer & Design Coordinator at JVI-solesbyMICHELIN. They shared their expertise in crafting some of the most successful #sole designs, particularly in the outdoor sector. He provided an in-depth look at the various technologies and materials used in #sneaker sole production, including the innovative NexX4 technology developed by JV Engineering. It was a masterclass in understanding how to align design choices with performance and functionality. In the afternoon, Pierpaolo Sgattoni, General Manager of SNEAKNIT, led a fascinating lecture exploring the knitting technology that has revolutionised the production of shoes, bags, and other #fashion accessories. The focus was on its contributions to #sustainability, comfort, #3Ddesign, and production #innovation. Thanks to Sneaknit’s extensive expertise, projects can be developed in very short timelines by combining cutting-edge materials with both traditional and innovative manufacturing techniques. A truly insightful day that brought innovation and design closer than ever. #Arsutoria #Footwear #Shoe #Design #Designer #Accessories #DesignSchool #Milan

We often talk about technologies, advanced materials and innovations in our products. But today we want to turn the spotlight on something equally fundamental: the people who make it all possible. In the picture you see, there is our R&D department in China, the extraordinary group that works on yarns, machinery and much more! Because R&D is not just about state-of-the-art machinery or complex technical processes. It is about collaboration, confrontation and creativity, elements that arise from the strength of a close-knit and motivated team. This picture was from a moment outside of work, because we believe that you need time together to maintain the energy, complicity and enthusiasm needed to face each professional challenge with the right charge. Behind every upper, every innovative project and every achievement, there is a group of people working together with passion. And it is this team spirit that makes everything possible. #sustainability #productivity #motivation #job #future #recycle #team

3D printing continues to revolutionize the manufacturing sector with new innovations! We at Sneaknit are pleased to present a brand new innovation that we discovered at the ITMA trade show in Shanghai: the 3D resin. This technique is applicable to Knit materials and represents a great innovation, with which we can bring to life beautiful yet highly functional aesthetic patterns, expanding the design possibilities of our products. As a 3D printing technique, it has strengths over traditional methods, like custom design, reduced time and cost, less equipment needed, and an ever-widening range of items that can be made. In fact, the 3D resin opens the door to new possibilities in footwear but also bags and furniture! Follow our page to stay updated on all the most recent innovations in the knit and footwear industry! #sustainability #productivity #motivation #job #future #recycle

What would happen if we combine two seemingly different yarns like the CUT PROOF yarn and the SIPHON yarn? In the safety industry, having footwear that combines different qualities like strength and comfort is critical for being secure on the job. Sneaknit is committed to meeting these needs with innovative solutions, such us the CUT PROOF yarn, which is highly cut-resistant and ideal for protecting those working in harsh conditions. And this is not all! Our newly developed SIPHON YARN, made from recycled polyester, is highly performative, with its stain resistance, anti-dust properties and water permeability. Thanks to these characteristics, Siphon causes water to drain easily from the surface, preventing the accumulation of dust and dirt. It also offers a soft and natural texture, a perfect mix of functionality and elegance. Combining CUT PROOF and SIPHON YARN would result in a perfect upper for work footwear: cut-resistant, waterproof and dust repellent, but also comfortable and refined. Curious to find out how this technology can make a difference in the safety industry? Contact us to learn about Sneaknit's advanced solutions. #sustainability #productivity #yarn #motivation #job #future #recycle #tecnology #safety

What if we told you that recycled denim can also become yarn? Speaking of fashion sustainability, jeans are the Achilles' heel: denim absorbs up to 35% of the world's cotton production. Adding to that, you have the dyeing and finishing stages, which usually involve an important use of chemicals. At Sneaknit, we give new life to old jeans, transforming them from unused garments into valuable resources. After being collected, these jeans are cut, freed from buttons and zips and reduced to fibres through a mechanical, non-chemical process. The recycled fibres are then fed back into the production cycle to be converted into new yarn - this is where the second life of these fabrics begins! The distinctive touch? The colouring: we do not subject the fibres to further dyeing, but preserve the original shades of the jeans, resulting in authentic and unique tones. With this yarn, we can make uppers, bags and many other accessories to combine style and sustainability. Do you want tp find out more about the characteristics of this yarn? Contact us, we will be happy to assist you in your project! #sustainability #productivity #denim #motivation #job #future #recycle

Today, we present a very special yarn, recycled from paper, perfect for the production of bags and uppers. At Sneaknit, sustainability is an ongoing mission: we are constantly looking for new materials that respect the environment, without compromising on quality and aesthetics. This yarn represents an innovative and responsible alternative, born from the desire to offer circular and durable materials. With recycled paper yarn, we aim to combine the functionality of the fabric with the need to reduce environmental impact, offering a product that lives up to our customers' expectations in terms of both sustainability and performance. For us at Sneaknit, the future also lies in materials that respect the planet and people. And this new yarn is a concrete example of our commitment to an increasingly eco-friendly fashion industry. Send us a message if you want to know how we can apply this yarn in your projects! #sustainability #productivity #sport #motivation #job #future #paperyarn

Insoles… what’s better than our new Filling Injection technology? This advanced methodology makes it possible to insert targeted padding into areas of the shoe that require extra support, opening up new customization possibilities for both uppers and insoles. Filling Injection brings a tangible benefit to shoe insoles, especially when it comes to specific needs for medical footwear. The technology makes it possible to create customised insoles that offer functional support for conditions such as plantar fasciitis, flat foot, hallux valgus and hollow foot. The ability to adapt the shoe structure to the unique characteristics of each foot makes this methodology ideal for the medical sector. This technology anyway is not just limited to technical shoes: casual items and high heels can also benefit from Filling Injection. This technology allows the padding to be adapted to specific pressure points, making the heels much more comfortable even over long hours of use. If you are interested in discovering how Filling Injection can also make a difference to your footwear, please contact us. #sustainability #productivity #sport #motivation #job #future #insoles
