SpaceDyS was born in 2011 as spin-off of the Celestial Mechanics Group of the University of Pisa, which develops software for the orbital determination of natural and artificial objects orbiting near the Earth and provides services in the field of Flight Dynamics. SpaceDyS is a fresh and dynamic company, mainly composed of mathematicians, astronomers and engineers with deep expertise in scientific and informatics fields. The company attitude is towards customer satisfaction through the supply of an high-level product in a short time and the constant research for solutions to new challenges. SpaceDyS is specialised in ASTEROIDS, SPACE DEBRIS, SPACE MISSIONS. In asteroid field, SpaceDyS is a worldwide leader in the activities of Impact Monitoring (IM) between asteroids and Earth. NEODyS (Near Earth Objects Dynamics Site) web-site provides the probability of IM in the next century and NEOScan scans the imminent impactors. JPL NASA is the partner for the publication of special cases. The IM service migrated at European Space Agency (ESA, SSA Program) by SpaceDyS, providing both the scientific expertise and the entire infrastructure, first on virtual machines and then on micro-services. SpaceDyS took part at the development of the first European models for a long term evolution’s study of the space debris population and its risk mitigation measurements. Recently, a new project regarding the fragmentation has been awarded. SpaceDyS has been also involved in the space missions Juno and Bepicolombo, developing an Orbit Determination (OD) code for the radio-science experiments. In 2019, SpaceDyS developed its first embedded software PrOBOarD, the on-board OD for the satellite navigation. From the end of 2020, SpaceDyS have been starting new projects using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning applied to asteroid data. The next challenges are - On-board OD and collision avoidance management. - AI for Earth Observation applied to the European Green Deal.
